Hello NASA Officials and Safety Team,
I am very sad to inform you that FFR driver, Dan Lawson has died of injuries sustained in an accident during a NASA event at Buttonwillow Raceway yesterday. We don't yet have all the details, but we do know that two cars got together, one of them being Dan's car. The car became airborne and either flipped or rolled. Dan was injured in the accident and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. This information may not be 100% accurate. I will get you more information, as we get it.
One thing that we don't need is a rumor mill starting. So, please be
patient while we await further details.
