View Full Version : Car photo shoot location ideas?

looking for ideas on a place to do a photo shoot on a car for tomorrow. photographer is from way out of town and i dont think he knows the area at all. w/ all the weather over the last 2-3 days, i'm sure the options are limited. looking for just about anything @ this point. Ft Worth area please.

Might think about lakeside.
Low angle light (dawn/dusk) with a dark background.
Sun ALWAYS behind you.
Lake cove or dark green meadow/grass field behind subject.
All pertinate reflected light to the camera needs to come from the car.
Not the scenery.
Also, maybe trackside at Cresson or Eagles Canyon.
Low angle light makes it sexy.

I always liked real industrial settings for race car pics.
Factories....loading docks....refineries....steel mills, etc.
Always cracks me up to see a racecar in a field of lilies, or with a serene ocean setting backdrop...not that there's anything wrong with that. :oops:

If the bad weather prevented any decent shots this weekend, and you're still looking for a place to shoot, I suggest Benbrook Lake/Dutch Branch Park.
