Good luck with the sale Todd. I'm amazed at how much a rolling shell is worth. "Gone in 60 Seconds" has really made those popular.

Hope the Ranchero can be pieced back together.

Tripped over that blog on the Fastback price trend.

Bidding has gone up to $12.2k on mine...then back down again when I discovered a fraudulent bidder (who retracted his bid).

Lots of folks interested in the car....in less than 24 hours, we'll see what she goes for!!!

Not so fast....let's wait until I get cash in hand.
It's been an ebay rollercoaster ride the past week with this auction.
Tons of calls.
Tons of emails.
Bidding went up to $14.5K....and then back down to $10k.
Dang fraudulent Australian guy tried to screw me but I caught him.
(Australians...can't live with 'em...can't kill 'em....'cept you, Daron.)

This wanker spoke like the Geico Gecko and had me sweet talked into helping him get this car to Australia no questions asked. Had me convinced. Said Dynacorn wanted too much to ship their bodies so it was a deal for him to buy this if I'd just put it in his container for him.

Until he kept asking for "legal documents" on the car and wanted a photocopy of the title.

Next thing I know, I get an email from another bidder saying my car is showing up on the UK ebay from a different seller! I reported him and the next morning he retracted his bids.

Then...all my potential buyers smelled a rat because "someone retracted" so there must be something wrong with the car. No one was willing to bid without seeing it after Hogan walked away.

So...a buyer in Jacksonville got it for $10k...still not bad. He was willing to go to $12k...told me so...and already bidded that high with Capt. Ahole. Oh well...we'll just have to see if the rest of this auction can go off smoothly. It's not over until the cash is in hand and the car is gone.

I've got a buyer arranged for noon on Saturday.
I'll have to leave the track after qualifying to complete the sale back at home. Hopefully this time it'll go thru...
