Here's the info:

Advanced solo and racers only. I will need proof of experience, so bring your racing license from NASA. If you are not a licensed racer, you will need to list your recent road course experience on your registration, the more detailed the better, and bring your NASA event log, if you have one.

The price is $200 for the day, $100 for a half day, $20 for a garage. At the very minimum, we will give everyone six 20 minute sessions on the 2.9 mile CCW course .
Registration: http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/testandtune.php.
Tech sheets: http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/technicalinspectionform.html.

Track gates will be open from 7-10pm on Thursday evening. There is a charge for overnight drop-offs. Gates will reopen at 7am Friday morning. Registration will start at 7am. Driver's meeting will be at 7:45. Hot track at 8:00.

We have formed a Google group called Texas World Speedway Motorsports Club that will be used to get info to everyone. Emails will be sent through this group for the foreseeable future, so if you want to continue receiving the newsletters and all TWS event info, please join. We will be adding pages with event information to this site, in order to keep everyone up to date, as well. You can opt out at any point in time from the list and even set it to no email and just check the discussions, if you prefer. http://groups.google.com/group/twsmsc

Clifton, Kevin, Adrian, and anyone I forgot,

Can y'all help spread the word to other classes? I'll post something on the NASA Nat'l site, as well.

Thanks,
Misty

I will put it on the schedule that should be released in the next few days. I have already let the Allison Legacy guest series know.

Here's the info:

$20 for a garage

Can this puh-leeze be a MSC-NASA coordinated effort?

I'm in for at least a half day and I'll need a garage for the NASA weekend.
Forgive me if i'm mistaken, but isn't $200 higher than previous years' test n tune days?

You are not completely mistaken, Morgan. I don't know what TWS charged in previous years, but it is higher than the one in April, which was $180. SCCA, CVAR, Viper Racing League, etc. always pay $200. I gave NASA drivers the "because I said so" discount for the April event. Rusty was less than pleased, but he let me do it...once. And, truthfully, I see his point about fairness and not showing favoritism. It's bad enough that I wear my NASA AI/CMC t-shirt when I run SCCA test and tunes.

Mitch - What do you want coordinated? Payment for the garages or the "where do I put my stuff for the weekend" part? Payment I can't do. Coordinating so no one has to move is possible, if everyone goes where they are supposed to, and something that I will work with NASA on.

On the TWS link above, the only option I saw was for a full day.

How do I sign up for 1/2 a day?

"Date August 3, 2007 - 1/2 day only" should work well.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Mitch. I knew I forgot something.
