Well, since you won't be racing with us this weekend. (sigh) :(

The race will be at least 4 hours but we are trying for longer. There is a lot to fit into a weekend with an enduro.

The race will be non-points and run per the NASA Enduro regulations.

It will be on Sunday.

I will be a Race Director this year at the 25 Hour at Thunderhill so I will have more details on procedures after that. Please remember that an enduro is new to NASA Texas and we want to do our best.

On a personal note, the enduro is going to be kick ass!

Not really...the only thing growing in my camp is legal bills. I would not wish this on my worst enemies at this point but I will say this, you thing Racing in American Iron is expensive....I feel like I have been racing Koni Challenge this year....

Hi everybody! Hope you are all doing well!

I'm not sure if we will try to run Richard's car or not, but I might be interested in this one. If anyone needs a team mate, let me know!

I ran the 24 Hours of Lemons last weekend out in California. What a hoot!

85 cars on a 1.1 mile track. We finished 8th.

6 hours huh?
That seems ambitious for a 1st effort.

Daylight, dusk, dark?

For a first effort, IMO, a 4-hour enduro would be perfect. You got my attention.....

In the FWIW category, there was a 2 hour enduro at the NASA RM/Ohio crossover event at MAM this year. End of the day on Saturday. Fair number of cars "fell out" before the end, but those who were in it really seemed to enjoy it.

Chris,

The next 24 Hours LeMons event is in the end of Dec 07. I'm only an hour and a half away from Thunderhill. Get together a few other drivers and I'll find a car to race.

I'd go for an "end of day" Saturday Enduro, regardless of length... as long as it would finish before headlights would be required.

I dont know man, having raced at night I can comfortably say its worth the hassle of rigging up a light bar to get the experience of running at speed in the dark. Its a completely new experience.

I'm in regardless of the format.

Any update on the TWS enduro details?
Also, how is this going to impact the regular race schedule for the weekend? Number of races, amount of track time, entry fee, etc.
Thanks

It would be great to be able to plan ahead for this April event. From what I understand this specific event will have a regular weekend plus enduro. With that said, certain racers are going to have to plan their yearly regional races ( + or - ) this enduro.

It would be great to have a full understanding of the details of the enduro before the beginning of the year. I have to plan accordingly so as not to disrupt my 2008 championship. :D

I too would like to know the feasability of the Enduro in April. I'm only going to be able to race a couple of races this next season so I was counting on the enduro to be my big "hit" off the speed crack pipe.

Ohh, 2008 is an AIX year for me, as I don't want to disrupt the championship run with one weekend of racing at Cresson...

I just got back from the 25 hour. I am very excited about having an enduro in Texas next year. It takes a tremendous effort to put on a good enduro, from both NASA and the racers. I suggest reading the Enduro regulations first and asking questions based on them. The race will be on Sunday and, if I have my way, will be 6 - 8 hours.

So a 45 minute enduro it is replacing the regularly scheduled 40 minute race... :D
