Leah (I hope that is her name ... at my age, names escape me) took a bunch of pics with my camera ... over 130 ... of the race on Sunday.

Awesome job!

Who can host either 90 meg of 1024x680 or 500 meg of 3008 x 2000 images?

Here are a couple examples ...

BTW -- what camera and (more importantly,) lens were used?

I've just got a 500mm/1000mm lens that I had meant to haul out there last weekend (didn't manage to make it out of the house Sunday damnit!) I also have a 75-300mm zoom on its way...

First place I went ... but it still doesn't recognize me as a user. I figured it to be a Ford vs GM thing and didn't want to push the button till after Step 1 was complete Sunday evening.

Nikon D70 with a Nikor ED 70-300 lense. That's very cool, since I'll be shooting with a D50 and the older Nikkor 75-300 lens (f4.5-5.6) It's a slightly slower lens (yours is a F4-5.6, I think) at 70mm, but the older lens is a little sharper, according to many reviews.

I'm stoked, since my "new" 500mm lens is mostly crap (what do you expect for $35,) and with the doubler (1000mm,) it is even worse. It better be a really bright day if I want to use that lens.

The Digital SLR's are nice, I have been shooting with my D100 for about for over three years now.

DDYep! I can easliy squeeze off 300-400 per day and if I'm lucky, I end up with maybe a dozen I really like. Now if I could just get someone to take shots for me while I'm on the track!

Leah says that you're welcome Mitch :)

The autofocus messed her up a few times - if she was more familiar with the camera she would have turned it off for the high zoom shots of course.

Now she wants a D70 - I knew it was going to cost us when you lent it to her ;)
