I am going to return the Bitchin' Black Camaro back into a street car if it doesn't sell very soon.

$12,500 race ready for T2, slightly over weight for AI (3,600 lbs) Needs a weekend weight lose program. Has NASA log book for 06'

The car is an 02' SS Carmaro. I'll need some stuff to put back to street.

Why is Patterson the only one willing to race an LS1 F-Body in AI?

I would be racing this car if I hadn't lauch the new GPC class for NASA this season.

This car is race ready and just needs a weekend worth of dieting to be much faster. Then as your budget builds so can the car. I have seen everything for this car used for $3,000 to make this car 75% done!

The only reason it is so cheap is because of the Salvage title. I pics from the wreck. The nose was knocked off and the hood was broken up.

I would rather sell the car cheap then put it back to street and give the labor away.

Since some people are curiuos whey the car is so CHEAP. I am going to raise the price to $18,500 obo. I don't think I should discount the car that much for a salvage title with minor original damage.

Because they are heavy pigs and can't be brought down to minimum weight (on most peoples budgets at least), so any half decent AI Mustang that is down to weight with a half decent driver is going to spank it 75% of the time - especially in the longer races like the 40 minute at the Nationals - where the heavier cars are going to struggle with tires towards the end.

3600lbs! My old daily driver Mustang Cobra with the roll bar and boat anchor IRS out back weighs 3600lbs - but that's with my 210lb fatass in it! It sure does need a diet! ;)

Having said all that - I wish someone local would buy it, get stuck into it with a cutting torch, and race it in AI - someone needs to keep all the Mustang pedalers honest! They were some great battles between Mike P and John G!

I regularly crossed the scales at 3400# with me in the car (150#) - so car=3250.

At 3250 the car still had full glass and door panels, some bolt on suspension components, and stock motor (plus headers/exhaust work).

I pulled the side windows and door panels off of it this winter, and ended up adding 80# of ballast back into the car (still cross the scales at 3400#).

I'm still debating whether or not to put a lexan windshield in the car, if I do, then I will have to add more ballast or subframe connectors, or put a window back in, add a passenger seat, whatever etc. to keep the car at 3400#

It is not that hard to remove weight from a Camaro, I just choose not to run a restrictor plate - for which I have my reasons.

At 3400# I was quite competitive at the Cal Speedway race prior to mechanical failures.
