Is there any difference in the Differentials and assembly from a 92' Iroc and a 93' Z28. Yes I know these are different generation cars.

Pretty sure everything is the same except for the housing width and axle length.

If you put a 93 in you can use 4th gen offset wheels.

The reason I ask is that a guy has a complete diff w/ brakes from a 93. Would that be legal considering we are supposed to update and backdate within the generation range? It would save me from having to convert from drum!

as jeff mentioned the 4th rear is roughly 1.5" wider per side. Torque arm & control arms will bolt right up too.

you can argue whether running a wider rear changes the geometry and is therefore legal or not. dunno, since other rears are legal.

It's as legal as putting SN95 control arms on a Fox.
Tire inside the fender is the mark.

If the price is right, get it. Its legal to use, you might find it handy at some point in the future to be able to run 4th gen 17s, you'll have spares that can be used right now, etc etc.
