Anyone coming through D/FW around 7 or 8pm Friday?
Virginia could use a ride or help drive if needed.

I am hoping to leave Thursday afternoon, sleep at the track or the world's biggest McDonalds and practice all day Friday.

MM-I'll be looking to follow you and your 747 wing around the track to get up to speed so I can blow you away on Saturday. Nick is running the RX7 like he did at College Station.

Frank-you staying at the track Thursday night? I can plug in power on my trailer and run the a/c. Think there is a electricity hookup fee but will find out about getting power when I get there.

I'm leaving G-Town at noon Thursday and pick up Jay (or have his wife bring him to me North of the Metroplex on IH-35) at 3 PM. Wayne goes 75 but Google maps has me staying on 35 and going through OKC. Looking for ideas on the best route.

I'll be leaving (west side) Houston 10ish Thursday morning. I'll be doing at least the half day of practice and hope to tag along behind someone to get closer to being up to speed.

To avoid toll roads, I travelled north of OKC on I35 to Guthrie and then west on State 33 to 99 and then north.

It's about 10 miles further and there is a stretch that is 2 lane without a shoulder.

Not sure which way I am going ...

I am leaving Friday morning around 8:00 am. I will be traveling up HWY 271 and Indian Nation Turnpike (pretty much my only option). I have to pay about $40 in toll charges.

its about 20 miles shorter to go 35N to 44E to 99N than the way Mitch posted above. the toll costs may be made up w/ by added fuel costs and more time if you go his route. the route we normally take (listed here) is just under 300 miles from my house in west Fort Worth. i have found a route that gets it down to 275 miles, but the map software says it adds an hour. i'll post it if anyone wants it.

the short of it is you want to get to HWY 377 as it turns into HWY 99 at the 44 Turnpike. Hallett is off HWY 99. HWY 377 runs from Stephenville to the 44 Turnpike. i was looking at getting on HWY 377 at Ada, OK by exiting I-35 at exit 55. there is a very short toll road between I-35 and Ada. i've never been this route and i'm worried about lots of small town stop lights/signs and the availability of gas.
anyone ever used this route?

James, to help off-set your costs, I'll bring enough Keystone for the both of us. :D

Mapquest from Granbury to Jennings ...

326.8 using Turner Turnpike
330.6 using OK33

While it's not EXACTLY 10 miles, it's defintely not 20.

Quit busting chops with bad data

Anyone know if there are traffic issus on I35 while going through OK City at rush hour? I'm thinking of leaving so I go through ok city after the traffic dies down but still have plenty of time to get up to Hallett before the gates close.

Jerry I could be heading out of Fort Worth around the same time you are coming through.

MM-I'm sure you bring enough Keystone for just about everyone there willing to try one. I bet you really love the oklahoma version of Keystone. But thanks for the reminder to get some Bud Light. And I'll be ready to find out the difference between TWS and HMRC.
