Ok, it is looking like I might be able to run the CMC car with SCCA for a few events coming up (TMS roval). I'll post something to confirm it later if and when it happens.

If it does happen, then there is no way my Toyos left will make it. So, I'm looking for a new or nearly new set of RA1s to get me through. Anyone have something decent they want to get rid of, let me know.

I would like for the CMC cars to be able to run Improved Touring E, which is basically a regional catch all class for cars not already allowed in another Improved Touring catagory. SWDiv SCCA has a 3.5 liter displacement limit on ITE for some reason; they are the only region I have found that is doing this....
The basic reason I would like CMC to be classed as ITE is it would allow a CMC car to run the enduros that SCCA puts on. Well, and the fact that that is the class pretty much every other CMC car runs in the US when they cross over.

As for Nationals; believe me I have been thinking on it a bunch, especially since last race at TWS... just been having trouble mentally getting over going and spending the time and money it would take to have a decent shot.

Jeff, I bought a brand new set when Boudy did the GP that he is warehousing until I get the car done.

If I don't sell them I'll just wear them out next year getting licensed.

You're a racer.
You've proven you can compete with the current National Champion.
Vacation Time is given to you for a reason.
Credit cards are given to you for a reason.
Just do it...you have a very, very (did I say "very") good chance of taking all the marbles and becoming National Champion!!!

No brainer....stop trying to play with the little cars and play with the big boys!!! Let me know if there's any way I can help you get to Nats.

I have a virtually brand new set of RA1's sitting in the garage.
255/16 variety shaved by Vilven to 4/32's. Only heat cycled ONCE at TWS during practice session. Perfect. Can check date codes if need be. ordered from Vilven back in March or April.
