If the Neons survive LeMons, we may resurrect them as proper enduro cars and go for the overall.

didnt help the MX5 and Miata's. the one Miata was a freak car anyways. plus, my clutch will not be slipping this year.

That Miata was a freak car.

I think this year we'll actually practice driver changes (we had one that took 7 minutes and our fastest was around 3 ) and make sure the power steering pump is newish with a cooler.

If our little toyota survives lemons, we might put the head lights back in and make a run for it! Just have to find that headlight switch in that pile of shit in the corner of the shop!!!

That would be great, we can have a seperate LeMons class.

I can alternate driving duties in Marshall's car and the LeMons car, they are pretty similar. :P

If I have my new motor in by then there is no way for the 27 car to make it on one set of brakes... 360hp in a 3300 lb car... too much stress on stock 1le brake system... might have to buy JB's car just for annual enduros...

BS. my car clocked in at well over 3300 in April. i used XP10's and it was way more pad than you need. you will not/should not be pushing the car hard at all. i plan on getting a set of XP16's for the 8hr enduro.
at one point i added up the hours (session by session) and came up w/ 11hrs on a set of XP10's at 100% max effort pace. at the enduro pace, 15 hours should not be a problem. yes, on one set of pads.

I'm using 2 sets of pads a year and 1 set of rotors in two years on the front... I'm running Hawk HT-10s because that was on the car when I bought it and my rotors are stock GM...

2 set of pads a year is what i use for a full season, including Nats.
HT-10's are your first problem. hate Hawk pads.

Glenn, talk to Marshall about the XP16's. He used them on his car last year and I think he heated them. Not sure the details though.

What classes will be eligible for the 8hrs?

And agreed on the LeMons cars...if ours survives, we may try and run it at TWS.

thereis an enduro rule book that has hundreds and hundreds of classes form all types of org's broken down into the NASA enduro class's. best bet is to know what class your car fits in and see where it falls into the enduro classification.
CMC is E1.

Glenn, talk to Marshall about the XP16's. He used them on his car last year and I think he heated them. Not sure the details though.

For a data point, I was running XP-12's originally with the stock "Cobra" PBR calipers and slotted 13" rotors. I was only getting 3-4 days of track time out of a set of pads.

I called Carbotech and they talked about their "enduro" pad (XP-16). I decided to try them since I could outbrake most people due to car weight and could deal with the loss of a bit of "mu" (coefficient of friction).

Put the pads on the car and didn't really like the feel of them. They were vague at the limit and fell off quickly if you overheated them. The life wasn't anything to write home to mom about either. I think I got and extra day out of them. However, that is a 25% improvement in life.... so if that is all you need they might be the ticket.

For yet another datapoint, as soon as I changed to the StopTech calipers and PFC01's, I'll never buy a different pad again.

When I was still running the PBR's, I talked with AJ at PST about Carbotechs and he tried to explain about PFC's saying that they are a good pad that works well even in the Pro ranks. I didn't listen because I thought "if AutoZone sells them too in a street pad... how good could they be". Boy was I wrong.
