Well hell. The SD card was full. So, no forward view.

Will digitize the look from behind my car as Al and I exchanged the lead 3 times during the last lap.

Very telling video Mitch...it appears that the pressure inside your car is enough to lift the hatch more than the downforce you are getting on that rear spoiler?!

Might explain why you struggle finding speed?! :?

It seemed to appear that Al's car didn't have a hood, how could that be? :?

hey Al, are those hood pins in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?

That was such a tremendous race!!!! I'm bummed the front camera was out Mitch. Swapping the lead three times in one lap, on the last lap without either car going off or touching...it doesnt get any better than that.

I've got in-car and side-mount from R3 and in-car for R4 (side SD card was full).
I also think I have in-car and side-mount from Qual on Sunday.
Should have some decent footage there somewhere
I had to get to the airport before I could download the video so my wife is going to cut it up for me - I'll post when its ready.

Only thing I have worth sharing is R2.
R4 didn't roll in all the excitement. :? :x

Just a quick few cuts of R2, R3, & R4... no fancy fades or anything, still figuring out the editing software.

This is the first and last lap of R4.

I wanted a shot in the T4 area, but messed up, you will see my reaction. Then tried again in the uphill bowl but JB had it covered pretty well. I wish I had kept my foot in it to the finish line so the picture would have looked better ;)

This is the same video I loaded already, but was playing around with hosting sites and like the quality of this one better. Seems like a much clearer picture to me. If you had not yet watched R4, use this linkie instead. Also note you can click the bottom right corner and it plays full screen.

I am thinking we need to get you some 3.73 or 4.10's so you can get to use 4th gear soon!

Good vids and good training with David for that pass! Keep it up!

Yeah, you heard that eh?! :)
I've been having issues with 3/4 shift since late last year...I was thinking it was maybe just the motor mounts 'cause it generally was only an issue coming out of high speed sweepers, but at ECR I had it every time I tried a high RPM shift (anything over 4k) on the long straights....I eventually either shifted early or just rode the limiter down the straight. I was hoping to rebuild the tranny in the off season..but that requires me to be in the same state as the car :(

Hey, enough from the peanut gallery... No more easy passes on the 27 car for 2009... not gettin' out of the way for ANYBODY!!! just kidding he did a good job late breaking me, I thought I blocked the line deep enough... guess who got schooled on that move???

Never was going to say it was an easy pass David. He did a good job of being patient, running his line and then picking the right time to go...safely. That is all I was really getting at.

I know what you meant... 8) I was just yankin' your chain... :P you are correct on your assessment of his driving... :) but I am serious about making it harder for people to pass, I have never even attempted to make it hard for anyone (not even sure I would know how) but "things, they are a changin'"....

Hey David, I know we talked about it at the track, but it was great running with you there. Really good experience and you kept me honest the whole time. And no, that was not an easy pass - but I was friggin stoked to have pulled it off
BTW, I've checked that vid a dozen times and did not see a local yellow at the tower and I would think there should have been one, 'cause there was a car off btw T1 and T2...right in my line had I not made the turn cleanly....what say all y'all?

I checked the vid twice looking for the flag at the tower too! You were clean there but maybe that just happened and the yellow hadn't been thrown yet. One thing I have learned is that you cannot count on the flags for EVERYTHING. You got to be alert regardless because the flag stations can make mistakes that are good or bad.

An absolute blast... I'm sure you noticed that I stayed in the middle of the track waiting for you too make a move and I was going to crowd you either way... thought you decided to stay behind me so I moved over to get a better line through 1, I check my mirror and your not behind me anymore, I glance to my right and there you were... Reaction: DAMN, how did he do that!?!? next thought: he can't make it stick... finally just watched the tail lights get smaller and smaller...

and to be honest... I was so pissed that you got by me I was determined not to let it happen in the last race especially since I started up front... 1/2 way through the race I check my mirror... Reaction: Damn... here comes that rookie AGAIN, all the way from the back!!! then commited the cardinal sin of driving in my mirror and over driving the car...

had a great time... sure I was pissed that you passed me but I always leave it out on the track
