Folks,
The directors have thought long and hard about what is best for CMC and its future.
We feel that a specified date to merge the two classes is better left for the decision to be made by the actual class itself which will then be watched each year evolve into what happens by competitor count in each class.
So in fact if we see 80% of the cars are in CMC2 then maybe we will set a date to merge, but if that does not happen for 5 years then we wait and act accordingly.
With these harsh economic times we also feel this is in the better interest for you, the competitor.
I thank you all for your comments and emails.
So as of right now CMC and CMC2 will continue as it is with no merge date set.
The 2009 rules are the near the same with some minor fixes and finished, and NASA is going over them as we speak.
They will be presented when released by NASA.
