Back on track Beavis.

Are we watching Bullitt or NASCAR Saturday nite?

I'm bringing the wire to hook up the satellite to the projector and speakers (thx Mitch and Mike).

Who's bringing what else?

Houston GP is tonight as well. ALMS was broadcast this morning. GAC race from LSIR ( tape delay ) was also broadcast today. Good weekend for burning fossil fuels. Todd should be happy. ;)

Yep! And the GAC guys had more contact in 15 laps than WE did in all races in March! Those guys can't drive for crap....

I missed the GAC race, ugh. By the time I realized there was a concurrent race going on with NASCAR it was 25 laps into the CART race lol.

The GrandAM and ALMS race will replay tomorrow (Monday) morning on Speed. I missed the first half of the GrandAM race, so the DVR will catch it tomorrow.

Kinda late in this thread ...

I just finished compiling the chase scene in Bullitt for Observation Training.

I used Bullitt because I know the movie very well and see all the "production mistakes". Jeff understands that you can't ever watch a movie the same way once you become a production cutter.

Anyway, count the number of green beetles, white Tempests and blue Chevelles they pass. See how many time the Charger/Mustang race to the bottom of a hill and turn left in front a Coup DeVille, just past a Ranchero.

And while we're discussing Chevelles, the movie was released in '68 ... that is a '69 chevelle.

Finally, I didn't realize '68 GTA Mustangs came with 5 speeds. Count the number of gears McQueen grabs after the motorcycle spin.

My plans for BBQ went bust last weekend. Plans are already underway for a LiiR team party at TWS. Should have 4 cars and 4 drivers participating. I'm am trying to get whole family involved (including ex, Amber and Jason's mom). For those who do not know, My Cousin Todd Peikert (SCCA Solo champion) has the NASA bug and has finished his 2nd school weekend. He is pushing for the new Spec Neon group he was nearly under 2 sec. in a stock saturn... learned big lesson this weeknd about wear on car and parts... used up his tires and brakes, but is really pumped about the NASA "atmosphere".

LiiR for 2007 looks like this:

David: AIX #27
Amber: CMC #10
Jason: HPDE #10
Mary (Mema): HPDE #53 (the Love Bug)
Todd Piekert: Spec Neon and/or 2nd driver for either the AI or CMC car
