What's the ruling (or opinion)?? the guys at the Ford house say the stock replacement springs aren't suited for the E cam. So are we limited to Cobra springs, can we use a Ford Racing set, or other aftermarket??

I suggest you delete the thread and run what is needed for your application. Don't ask, don't tell.

the directors talked about this. use what fits in place of stock. no machining allowed. no Ti retainers. no longer valves.

I ran a set of CompCams Springs back in 2004 in my AI car... GT40 irons and E-cam... it was a standard replacement double spring off the shelf at my local speed shop. The head shop picked them out based on the seat presure needed and calculated valve height (or something like that).
