Jason and I will be there... leaving out @ 1:30 with Mr. Hood... who else is going and specifically when are the Houson guys heading up?

Heads up to all... Jason told me tonight that he felt very comfortable in the Lemons event running in a steady flow of traffic (90+ cars), so we decided to run AI on both days and he will start with the AI bunch and not in the rear as he has in the past... I thought he ran pretty good at our event in Houston... If ANYONE had any issues with him PLEASE PM me, remember he is only 18 and learning, he wants to be more assertive... I will keep any suggestions or complaints confidential and "coach" him as needed

PREP: we took the car off the trailer tonight and changed the oil and both filters and greased the front end. Checked the pads, no $ for new ones so no late braking for us this weekend... found loose end plate on the starter and tightened, no more "drag" on the starter... two sets of RA1s including 1 set of rains... after this event we will go to AIX unless we get permission to continue on the RA1s... we will take any used, usedup or flatspotted 888s as the year goes on to get back to AI

Signed up and the car is ready. Still need to re-fab some travel windows for Knocker; looks like it's gonna be a wet journey. Plan on rolling out of Houston as soon as I get my ass in gear, figure noon or earlier.

I'm in. Some save a spot for us. If my pit crew opts to come along, we will get a late start leaving Austin due to my crew chiefs school schedule.

I'll be there.

Registered in Comp License but hoping for an upgrade to Rookie status in time for Saturday races. Even going so far as to buy my three "R"s in advance.

White 3rd Gen; car exclusively on track since 1991
Number changed from 14 to 56

My junk is on the ground, bolted together, fresh and track ready...just a little naked with some missing paint so I will be flying with the "Garland" look white hood. I have an appointment on the dyno in Arlington just after lunch on Friday and hope to go straight to the track after that.

I will be holding autograph sessions at 8pm around Leinart's cooler!

See you turds at the track and I AM bringing rains this time...two sets! ;)

My junk isn't on the ground yet but I don't want those 888's setting outside in the rain for a few days. Good to know I have a set of rains ready for the wet.
Still have several things to button up but at least its running. Main thing is getting my water temp guages working. I'm thinking Burch can come over and rewire my car over the next few days.

Plan is alignment Friday morning, dyno for lunch for both CMC2 and AI, bed the pads at the track somewhere, and then let the real trash talking begin.

I will be there.... You guys be on the look out for the wife though. She hopes to get there with the race car around 4:00 pm. My Dad will be there to help her unload the car and trailer.

Then she will have to come back to the airport and pick me up.

If that TWS schedule is correct...the enduro will be on Saturday?

If so, I guess many of us will be there to be pit rats.

When does Dan say the rain will pull out Saturday?

jeffburch
03-11-2009, 09:37 AM
I'm off all week so haven't seen any TV.
I just look here http://www.weather.gov/forecasts/graphical/sectors/southplainsWeek.php?expandweek=ON#tabs

and here http://squall.sfsu.edu/crws/jetstream.html

Until one of the two go away (cold front at the surface or warm upper sub tropical jet) it could precip indefinitely.

Hence forth my delay in registering.

I figured you and Megan were close friends and Dan was a part of your "crew". 8)

I figure Saturday will be a lot like Sunday was at Houston. All the forecasts show diminishing probabilty as the day wears on. So practice and qual might really suck, but the races will probably be dry.

Sunday looks fantastic!

Well, I was registered for Road Atlanta.
I backed out thinking I wouldn't get everything done.
But did.
Plus was thinking would be wore out for the 24hrs of driving to/fro.
But, I slept all day and am wiley again.
Rethinking since the deluge here in N. Tx.

Looks like rain has been taken out of the forecast for Saturday. And there still remains a chance for today and tomorrow.

Sunday is looking awesome!

It will be soft anywhere off the pavement. So don't drive your tow rig intot he grass.

I hope to be there by 1 or 2 pm. Whoever gets there first should try and stake out some space on the pavement, last year was pretty chaotic with rigs in all directions. FMR

I am going to try and unload the car then back the trailer in the mud and leave the rear wheels of the coach on the pavement. Last year I pulled all the way off but that's not gonna work this time.

I am going to be getting there fairly early on Friday so I'll try to save about 3 spots w/ the truck, trailer, and race car.
I'll scare off the rest of the people with my white cowboy hat. 8)

Don't group me with those guys. I "race" a Mustang and just "drive" a 4th gen. Oh, I guess I can be grouped with them. :P

I'll be there. Hoping to get out of San Antonio early morning to avoid I-35 traffic. Hope to be in Cresson early afternoon.

Are you all gonna be in the same spot as last year? Right near the grid canopies?

Yes.

You might consider coming up 281 because I35 traffic in and around Austin is terrible. Mulder lives about 20 miles north of San Antonio just off of 281 and that's the way he comes. He should be in Granbury by 11 or so.

Rain, rain, go away. Brian's pony wants to play!
Dropped the car off at Pst so me, my truck and uhaul trailer are practicing being *wide*. It's a soggy mess...but it can't rain all the time.

Someone please save me a truck, trailer, and canopy sized spot if possible. I'd like to hang with the homies but will be late getting out of Austin and it is not really looking like I35 is flying per say....

See you all up there,

Save me a Focus-sized spot. Not leaving Beaumont until after 5pm...won't get in until close to Midnight.

Hopefully Eric is already there testing out the trim tabs and getting that boat to get up on plane quick & easily.
