On track was some of the best racing I have had in over two years, I drove the wheels off my car and pushed harder than ever!!!

The lap times were very close, the finishing times were close. WOW!

Race 2 was just awesome, I have never raced that hard. MW was on my bumper for 6 laps and I was doing everything I could to stay in the lead. I lead 8 of the 9 laps, Matt got by be on the straight after the hairpin on the last lap... I went wide right for a fast long left hand sweeper, lost him in the mirrors (should have taken a more defensive line) the next thing I saw was him turning in front of me as he went deep on an inside run... it was awesome... I had a good run and put my front bumber on his rear all thru the esses but could not pull of a return pass, I was hoping to hold him off for my first win of 2006... Next time, I will run more defensive!

Great Job David D. you really stepped it up!

Anyone have the lap times from R1 and R2?

David,
You and CL are really stepping it up. I obviously had NOTHING for you the entire weekend.

I would say that you and Chris L. probably were the "most improved" from Feb. in terms of lap times.

Great job... I'm still fighting to catch you!

David, I will say this much man.....the chase I had to put on in R2 was some of the best battling I have EVER seen or been a part of right up to the point at which I was going after Lyons in R3! I was glued to the back of Chris' car and was so close, the water and oil temps were 40 degrees higher than normal!!!

You two have stepped it up so much I kept checking to see if I had my ebrake set!!! I am going to be in trouble next month in my first trip to hallet since you guys have been there before. I hope the practice the weekend before is going to be helpful.

I was VERY impressed with all of the AI guys because for the first time, we could all have been covered by a SMALL blanket. Great racing! Congrats to Marvel for consistantly low 45's......what is the track record now?.....the awesome fact of the weekend is that most of us ran well under the previous track record!!! Given the difference in conditions, that is an impressive fact! 8)

I just want to see the points! This is going to be damn close!

One thing I can say for certain is that MSRH has turned out to be a much better race track than I had originally thought.

Bye the way....David D, and Chris M, if you guys need space to host videos let me know. I want every second you guys have of R2 and even R3! Hell, I want all the video because this was just an awesome weekend and even came home with a slightly bent racecar!

I plan on downloading the videos tonight... I will get in touch about hosting them... I have an FTP server, but the speed is pretty slow at times... downloads are usually around 100-200K, sometimes slower... :(

Look for them late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

David,

I keep getting a "timed out error" when trying to save either of these two videos. Can you check it out when you get a chance? Thanks.

I'm not sure what the time out is... I was able to download on to my office, it was slow at 50K, took about an hour.

You might try to restart the download and see if it picks up where it left off.

Its not the best share server... I am looking for a better option. Matt might be able to help out if he can download them... I think Robert King had some space in the past as well, maybe he will chime in...

I will try and setup an FTP access for you on mine for you tonight. I REALLY want to see R3 from your vantage point! I am thinking there may have been some air under the rear in my attempt to Impersonate Spinny McGinny!

Ok, points of interest....

At 9:40, you get to see a text book manuever of blocking going into turn 3.....

At 20:32, you get to see just how strong Stock ford axles are as they only bend, and not break off with the wheel!!! Those freaking curbs suck!

Great Video David, I figured you had a pretty good show of me all over the back of Lyons for several laps....too bad I screwed the pooch...

Its already compressed into a WMV, the resolution posted is good for DVD, I can knock it down to a computer grade... I generally do all my stuff DVD quality.

I will see about making it smaller.

Great video David, thanks for posting it up. I was wondering, besides the loose condition did it feel like your car changed any after the double-yellow caution laps? I ask because my CMC car felt like it changed dramatically and I wasn't expecting that, handling was very different in once we went back to green for me and it took me a few laps to "adjust" my driving lol. I expected the car to "come back" a bit after cooling the tires/brakes/driver and what I got was quite different from what I thought I was going to have.

Mine went from loose back to how I like it then went loose again quickly....the first 2 laps of the race the car handled like crap....I dropped air pressures like I did at Cresson in anticipation of higher temps and pressures after 10 laps and it did not work like it did at Cresson....then the mid race air pressure adjustment put me out for good!

I was a little looser than normal... the engine was getting hot as well and was a little down on power for the last half. The first couple of laps after the yellow were nice, but then it went away fairly quick.

That was alot of fun... Jeff B. had a front row seat for that one at the corner station. The car was a little on the loose side and made for some exciting laps the last twenty minutes.
