Varvini's got Al's spare hard-wired into the #2 car.
I've got my rechargeable you can borrow....just need to remember to charge it for 24 hours prior to the weekend.

He has been real quiet so maybe he is letting the cat out of the bag.

You might be able to borrow mine after the transfer case went out on my suburban yesterday.
We'll see if the guys at the Aamco I used to own can get it rebuilt by thursday. Though I'm not excited about major work being done and then hooking 10k pounds for a few hundred miles.

Hope to see the Rice Racer at TWS Ross.

you assume too much :) , NO WAY I'll be close enough to Francis for him to screw up the paint

I'll have the white car this coming weekend, want the transponder to see how badly Jeremy kicks my butt on lap times so I can piss myself off into building my car. I'll be in HPDE (cause i probably need to be)

Alright, two more rookies in HPDE this weekend then: Ross and Randy.

Todd...make sure you charge that transponder and bring it with you!! It'll be cool for these guys to see what kind of times they're doing.

If you mean because you'll never be behind me... bring me my tubing bender!

I may just keep the 2.73 gears... gives me an excuse.

Mr. Da Man... I have your new front brake pads and rotors, that little clip James lost in Houston (just in case), headlight bar, hood, bumper supports, etc.

Oh, and the two bolts/washers/nut I used to fix the super slow, super squirrely, not enough ability to stay out of it's own way CMC #39.

Nothing to worry about Rossco, I won't be anywhere near TWS this weekend, Just add 1 second to Jeremiah's times and that should be about what I could run.

Don't give up so quick there Gunter Man! I think I have a lead on a 98 Mark 8 long block....73k miles on it ready to drop in. A couple of holes to drill in the water jackets, a new flywheel and some 105 octane gas and you could be running by friday! ;)

What? Jeremy's motor blew up too?

Don't think 105 is legal for us either.

if the 105 came from a pump...it's legal! ;)

it didn't blow up, but it is pretty screwed up, the timing sprocket was broken plumb down the middle... The crank harmonic balancer bolt is now in two pieces, one half is still located inside the crank, and the crank snout is shaped more like an egg than an orange.

Sorry for muddin up your thread Rossco...

I have been scouring the junkyards for a shortblock but it seems that kids who own these 99+ cars like to put a 100 shot on them and blow them often. I haven't found shit available for a several mile radius. I guess we will just have to rebuild this motor and find a machine shop to drill the crank bolt out. Can't find an 8 bolt crank for shit unless it's a cobra crank and that is nearly $600... We will figure something out though...

I just gave away my old shortblock.
