I want to give a special thanks to Mitch and Jeff W. for all their help getting me back on track after my tire wall problem. They worked like skilled surgeons putting my splitter back together. It was really quite impressive. Also thanks to Kellum Senior and the crew at the race shop for helping with the torque arm repair. Race 4 was fun as hell, Ray Bob and Tommy were awesome. Can't wait till next year. FMR

Very intense and some great hard fought racing by all. I had a blast and really want to thank everyone that made the trek to Hallett fo such a fun weekend.

Wow! The guy driving the red car is downright dangerous. Nothing like crowding another car until he cannot move over any more and taking both cars out.

I dont agree. He makes a nice repass setup on the previous turn, giving credibility he knows something about racing. This is a tough situation, and I'd encourage you guys to read Figure 7 and Figure 8 in the appendix of the CCR. The IRB would have to try and determine the position of the blue car's front tire relative to the red car's driver. Evidence could make it a clear cut case as described in Figure 7. Failing that...it would be a tough but interesting discussion to decide if Figure 7 or Figure 8 governs.

Either way it was dangerous and hopefully was dealt with accordingly.

Red never made a "safe pass" even though Red controlled the line according to the CCR. Judgement call by the officials.

Seems to me that even is the red car was legally ahead of the other one is it really a good idea to hit the other car? Roll the dice everytime someone will call your bluff. As slowly as he passed the blue car the speed differential was so low that he should have known that he was not passed it yet.

That is the way I would see this also.

The red car has the right of way to make a turn, but not try to shove the blue car off the track.

I saw the damaged blue car and it was pretty screwed up, but I am guessing the red one was worse.

No doubt I owe Mitch big time. I was so close to the rear of Mitch's car that I could not see anything ahead of him. Mitch started waving his right hand and I thought we was saying he was broke then when he moved to the left the other car was sitting dead in the middle of the track. I just missed him. Had I not lifted it would have been bad! I hate to give Mitch this much credit but he has a lot of Racecraft. Mitch schooled me all weekend!

Another first for me-at 0:56 I passed Wirtz and held him off for all of 1 corner. But it all starts with the first pass.

AWESOME recap, Frank!!! Watching your summary of rolling start, standing start, inverted start, qual start, etc, etc really validates how well the formula works! Man some of those other guys have some straightaway pull!!! Cool watchin' RayBob slip slidin' away. I hope you guys realize how valuable that weekend of "RACING" was for all of your "racing careers". Those that have been to Nationals know that door to door experience like the entire field got to experience made you all better drivers. Racing shouldn't be "Running Away"....nice job.

Sorry guys that was my fault! I was supposed to be gridded at 22 and ended up in spot 11 because of some miscommunication.... Donovan tried to help me figure it out right before we rolled out. When they didn't drop the flag in the first go round I thought it might be because i was too close to the field in front of me. ;)
