not looking for a debate as to why your not going if your not, just wondering what company i'll be sharing if i go. i'm 99% sure i'll be there, its the racing part i'm unsure of. @ the least, i'll be a pit rat for all TX CMC/AI cars. i think Jeff B is planning to do the same for the TX folks.

That's correct GL.

I would paint the car (purple) and put your company name on it if you will pay my expences for the trip.

Plan A: go up and help Adrian and do some cornerworking.

Plan B: beg, borrow and/or steal enough funds to enter the AI(X) #27, just to be a part of the history.

Plan C: Co-drive tow rig and crew for anyone who is desperate for a crew member.

Plan D: None of the above

Plan A- Tow, run the entire week and try to kick butt.

Plan B- Fly in for the weekend to hang out and help.

Extremely unlikely that I'll miss the event altogether, so I'll hang out with you Glenn!

Anyone thought about flying in and renting one of the new GT 350H Mustangs from Hertz???

TTB or C is where they would fall.

Vacation days already planned....practice run to M.O. in early July....doing the savings thing for funding as well as looking to a couple of sponsers for assistance.

If all goes well this weekend after checking the car/motor out.....I am about 85% sure that AI/TX 97 will be at nationals... Once we see how things go in July both with the trip up and the performance against the local crowd, then I will make the committment for September.

Besides, we have got to have some AI presence from TX!!!!

Yes, I plan on being there, racing CMC #5. AAMOF, I've already paid the entry fee. Camping is our plan.

Daron is thinking/planning to go as well. Extra crew members are always a plus. ;)

@ this time i planning on attending. trying to hold off on registering till after TWS just in case........ well no need to say it.
i guess we need to make it a priority to have a meeting and talk about those things we need to talk about, or at least i think so. yes, no?
items to talk about:
-- Caravan? i'm accually thinking of leaving sunday before just to give me an extra day. possibly looking for a local F-body forum member to stay w/ and do last minute prep/check.
-- tools consolidation? de we want /need to talk about this?
-- i'm sure we will all pit together, right?
-- anyone from here run this track before? i know its been repaived, so its gonna be different.
-- anyone have vids and times from/for a CMC car?
-- Camping @ the track? i know we can do it. anyone tacking a motorhome?
-- Grills's? microwaves? local resturants? CMC dinner?
-- Contingency programs? what all is offer to CMC, and are we all in compliance now, by Nationals, or do we care?
-- car compliance? do we need to look over each others cars to get a 2nd set of eyes on things? we dont need any DQ's for stupid shit.
-- thoughts? this is only 65 days away. we are almost @ the last minute. once TWS gets here, it will be last minute?

Renting a Bright tractor for a week or 10 days isn't that expensive.

When you return, sell the trailer and get most if not all your money back.

still waffling here....putting most of the car back together this weekend and TWS event will be the trial run of the "new beast".

If you are looking for lap times for CMC...go to OH/IN region's web site and look up the driver's names....then go search for that driver at Mylaps.com you can usually get all the lap times and detail if you are registered there! AI current lap is a 1:40.xx from robin burnett with most in the 42's....he just keeps running off course and can't be there at the end!

I will know more towards the end of august if I am going. With some of us having enclosed trailers, we should be able to make do pretty well for the 8 days away!

-- Caravan? i'm accually thinking of leaving sunday before just to give me an extra day.
I'm planning on leaving Sunday morning and getting enough rest to run the Tuesday TnT day.

-- tools consolidation? de we want /need to talk about this?
-- i'm sure we will all pit together, right?
Yes.

-- Camping @ the track? i know we can do it. anyone tacking a motorhome?
The websites aren't clear on whether camping at the track will be allowed Monday through Thursday. This page shows prices for the weekend only. http://store.midohio.com/pc-119-16-tent-camping.aspx

-- Grills's? microwaves? local resturants? CMC dinner?
The visitors guide sent to us shows a few restaurant's. Buck's Bar and Grill with a full menu is very close. Hometown Buffet, McD's, and Steak and Shake are a few minutes away. Brochure doesn't say where local grocery stores can be found.

-- car compliance? do we need to look over each others cars to get a 2nd set of eyes on things? we dont need any DQ's for stupid shoo-diddley-diddley.
Our tech guy Ryan told me he's head of tech for Nat's. Might have him look over the car real good as well.

Ryan resigned last week. :-( He is no longer Chief Tech for the Nationals. The new Chief is Mike Ellison.

I am trying to get a clear answer as to camping Mon-Thurs for ya'll too. Any other questions post them here and I'll do my best to get them answered. You can also check out http://www.nasaforums.com/viewforum.php?f=54 for more information.
