How many of you had in-car cams? I've only seen a smattering of videos show up (thanks Rob, Jeff's, Sam, et al). I had the best weekend this year and am still pumped about it (read that, eager for more vids). I'm already getting an engine lined up for the deuce!

My camera (hehe had to edit, wrote camaro) wasn't tight enough and rotated on its base due to vibration... not worth transfering from tape

I'm working on R4 right now. I was running video out the front and a Hero was recording a rear view (Smile, Gary!) If all goes right, I'll have some picture-in-picture stuff working.

(I tried to do the entire race, but clock drift between the two videos meand the longer they ran on screen together, the more out of synch they became.) Final Cut Pro didn't do a good job keeping the stuff sunched up. or one of the cameras (or both) lied about their framerate a little.

R3 will likely end up being a normal video, I think. The little hero didn't behave itself.

Where was the rest of your crew? or did I just miss them?... I was kinda "out of it" most of the weekend...

Race 4 from the grandstands. Sorry about the blurriness, I think there was moisture in the lens. Also, I didn't edit out the camera movement.

Listen for the Jeff Wirtz Fan Club in the background.

At home under the air conditioning.

They should be at ECR though.

Everyone should have HD cams on their Christmas list.
I wonder what the % of in-car cams are out there for Analog/digital/HD

I used a panasonic hd camera but due to the vibrations and heavy Gs in the corners it skipped... especially mid corner to corner exit... I will try and post what I have...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5eErfGjtBEMan, that was some ugly driving on my part. I could NOT lay down the power all weekend. I wonder how long I could have held you off if I hadn't blown T15.

The moisture on the lens might have been from a tear in your eye from not being out there to play :(

All the V8's sound good pounding around....

I have 3 cameras, two that work, one which has never been used to record anything. None of them have been remotely close to the car since last september.... I always forget to even get it out of the truck!

So, if you would like to buy me an HD camera for Xmas...I'll send you my address.

It's quite a bit smoother on the pavement... just FYI.

guess i need to work on my "rookie" driving... I pulled a veteran move and went exploring off 6 in R3. While I was out playing in the dirt, I high five'd the Todd out in the woods then rejoined the race.

Don't get "off the pavement" confused with "off the ground"... big difference

No, that move was pure rookie. My water temp hit 275 very suddenly as I entered T6, so I backed off throttle and pointed out the window to my left, never dreaming that Sam would drive in the direction that I was pointing, instead of passing on my left. Michael, what are y'all teaching them in comp school?

On pavement or airborn = rook
Off pavement but still grounded = vet

got it.

It's funny b/c the pinkie finger on my right glove always feels like it is not pulled on all the way. Now I just always seem to do it without even thinking about it.

R4 was some of the most fun I have had working through like that. On the last lap I knew I needed a good exit out of T1 to get by Chris and it worked out well. When I saw Bob Denton hug the inside going through the Bitch I jumped on the opportunity. :D

No video here. I managed to run my battery down and ONLY had video of sitting on grid. I need one those cameras with a remote so I can turn it on as we roll off grid.
