Any suggestions for an OBD-I scanner? I've seen the Actron units, and they're a ton of money...

thanks,
chris

Get one from the local parts store. I had a ~$40 code scanner for my street car I bought at O'Reilly's. Worked fine.

BTW - are you going to make Hallett????? :D

Unfortunately, the Colo Springs parts shops are not nearly as good as O'Reilly's. We have the big chains - Autozone, Checkered, etc - and they all carry the same stuff. I'll keep looking, maybe somebody will surprise me.

As for Hallett, I'm afraid not. I was hoping I could pull it off, but the timing is bad for me to take off that much time. I'll just have to live through your race report. :P

Chris,
I have probably the same scanner as Adam. Actron $20 job from AutoZone. Since I don't have a "check engine" light anymore, I just run codes now and again (or if it starts running funny.

Good luck in your parts search.
