Mike, clifton indicated this weekend that the enduro might only be 6 hours...? Correct?

Yes, the actual length of the enduro is still being debated.

Any chance they could do the Enduro on Friday so as not to cut into the race weekend?

Very slim

any chance of running clockwise at MSR-H...? Track is safer and more fun going that way

That's debatable Ken. Only issue I would see would be approaching the launch at well over 100mph, possibly 115mph. Mistakes would be costly after attaining considerable air time. No need to challenge Mosty or Liebbe's hang time records!

But I will agree, clockwise was pretty fun last weekend.

hang time and off into the grass vs the wall directly adjacent to the racing line... plus my stuff isn't fast enough to catch air anyways even if I wanted to

I have a picture somewhere of my car going CCW over the launch in 2005 as a street car, no where near as speedy as now, and had 3 tires in the air with about 12" under the left front. Maybe the aero would keep it on the ground?! LOL!!!

It shouldn't matter either way, it is an issue of car control... I would rather slap the wall vs flying through the air sideways, catching on the outside tires and rolling... I believe the potential for a rollover at AI speeds higher than most would expect... I gave that corner lots of respect in LeMons, but in "balls to the wall" racing.... imagine two cars going in side by side at "race" speed....

I only did three or four laps... Matt would be a much better judge...

It was easy to sucker cars into contact there....but I have no idea who might have done that while driving 3 wide going in there in a silver Neon with 197 on the side of it!

In our race group, and ONLY OUR race group. I think we could pull it off without contact. It's the what if that bothers me. If someone goes off track left in the right hander, there is no room to keep them from coming back across track at the entry to the keyhole...similar to T15/14 CW at TWS where the triplet of goofballs all went off in August....which from memory all worked out, but could have been very bad....especially in a group that historically runs so close.

also, full on race cars pounding tons of speed over the hill into the braking zone for the left hander into the keyhole is a situation of running out of space FAST as it is blind and hard on the brakes...good chance of pile driving someone from behind if two go in side by side and kill speed. Many times I piled a car into that turn on line only to find myself crowding two others in no time flat. I also don't like the corner worker station there as it's difficult to see with a HANS on as it is so far to the right as you clear the hill. Carousel is very similar situation.

It's also probably the slowest corner we would have on any of the tracks except MAYBE T2 at Hallett. and piling 30 AI/CMC cars in there is going to be tight. I sort of like the idea of following the train through CCW.

Hell, let's do CCW on Saturday and CW on Sunday!!!![/quote]

CW for the slow groups
CCW for the fast groups

solved!

NOT GONNA DO IT!! I'll take the drops... And there is NO f'ing way Jason will be in the 3 car with the tight, aggressive driving in CMC... I'm not gonna have the budget to fix cars next year... DNS = DNF in points but the DNF costs you more $$
