Chrome trailer hitch, clearly illegal per CMC rules. Remember: If it doesn't say you can then you can't..............

I used to run one just like that. 4 door 302 with a 150 shot.

High 12s

wow, memories: my first car was a Maverick, 302, fully loaded, automatic, etc. hand-me-down from my mom, when she got tired of being in a "small car." never did anything but put gas, oil and tires in/on it. oh, and never changing spark plug #4 because you couldn't get to it without a special tool, or pulling the engine out.

used to love pulling up next to guys at stop lights, and surprising the heck out of 'em when that "stupid looking car" blew 'em away.

Here too...
First car was a '73 Comet (sooo much better than a Maverick).
Also inherited from Mom...302 and C4...eventually ruled the High School parking lot until my buddy finished his 440 Coronet R/T.

Low 13's for me...ahhhh the teen years....

PS- Mavericks and Comets would be allowed in AI!?!?!?!?!

Driving to work today, I saw probably an 80-81 Fairmont 2 door... got the gears turning about a fully prepped MM or Griggs Fairmont in some obsene graphic scheme at 2850 or so for AI.....

If I only had more room and a 30 hour day...

Two words: Starsky & Hutch

Early on, I considered getting a Fox-based car (Fairmont, Zephyr, Granada, LTD-II, etc...) and making an AI car out of it. It'd grab attention, for sure, and if done well enough, it'd almost certanly warrant magazine coverage.

Damn, beat me to it. Supposedly, while I was in the pits at cresson last year, I heard rumors of a fairmont AI car being built....??
