AI/CMC will kickoff the 2010 NASA racing season at two locations this Friday evening...Houston & Daytona!

Round 1 of the NASA Texas race season is this weekend at MSR-Houston (http://www.msrhouston.com), and Al Fernandez (CMC National Director) will raise a toast between the hours of 7PM & 9PM with any and all AI/CMC racers to celebrate opening day.

FOR THOSE NASA FOLKS ATTENDING THE GRAND AM RACES IN DAYTONA, we will also be celebrating the start of the racing season between the hours of 7pm & 9pm with any and all AI/CMC racers, friends & family at the Ocean Deck (http://www.oceandeck.com) located on Daytona Beach.

Right now, the who's who of racers who have indicated will be there are:

Todd Covini (AI/CMC)
Jeff Feit (AI)
Dean Martin (AI/GA)
Steve Poe (AI/CMC)
Scott Whitehead (AI)
Lowell Houston (AI/Mustang Challenge)
Ryan Winchester (AI/GA)
David Donovan (AI)
Jeff Burch (CMC)
Greg Brown (AI/GA)
Mickey Remen (AI)
(...and possibly one of the handful of AI/CMC drivers who contacted me regarding the seat with Momentum Motorsports!!!)
(Jonathan Bomarito, CMC Champion, will be piloting the Speedsource RX-8 in Saturday's Rolex 24 race and likely can't make it.)

Any others going to be in the area????

Here's the schedule of events for the week:

The Continental race will end by 5pm on Friday and the garage closes @ 7:30 after all the post-race activities have ended.
Should be ample time to head over to the Ocean Deck. There is an upstairs and a downstairs....let's shoot for the upstairs, and I'll try to reserve an area if it's not too crowded.
Look for the black Grand Am hat and the "husky" build...I'll be there (...as well as in tech and on pit lane officiating all week.)

I look forward to seeing everyone there...and if a Mustang or a Camaro wins on Friday, we all have to toast an extra one in American Iron honor.

I have to work...but all you guys should pick a rendezvous time/place at the track or paddock during the race (it's freakin' 24 hours long ya' know) to meet up for coffee, donuts or whatever and tell AI/CMC tall tales.

Happy Motoring and see you trackside for the biggest AI/CMC Kickoff Weekend Party ever!!!
