Had my car at RPM this morning.

1st pull 9:34 am 370.8 horse 374.7 torque
2nd pull 9:36 am 369.6 horse 371.6 torque
3rd pull 9:38 am 369.1 horse 368.6 torque

When they were able to weigh the car in Houston at the last event I was 3509. Should be very close.

That is very close!

You need to weigh in at 3525 lbs

Just don't take a dump and you should be there! ;-)

Great job on getting the 82 dyno'd, David.

Your dyno numbers would be 371hp and 375tq ( we round up when it's .5 and above ). AI uses the highest number recorded on the dyno.

Given that, as John mentioned, your minimum weight comes to 3525. Bring the dyno sheets with you to the track.

We always caution our racers - don't cut your weights too close the the edge. It may very well come back and bite you at some point down the road.

Look forward to seeing you guys at Hallett!!!

That's a TON of weight for a 275 RA1... Going to be interesting to see how they do at TWS getting onto and down the main straight! You guys have a heck of a learning curve on your hands going from a 2100 lb FFR to a 3500 pound brick!

Wonder how much more those 351's weigh over the all aluminum 3V motors....? You pushrod guys dig up the windsor weights and I will dig up some mod motor weights to compare.

I need to go cut about 150lbs out of the car and about 40lbs off my gut to get even close to minimum weight! :P

Double meat whataburger with cheese and jalapeno dump! I am going to throw a 25lbs ballast in it and I should be okay. Pig heavy and I am going to ADD weight, what a country!

We also got Alvey's car on, not so good, 285/304 I think was the high pull. He was coming in around 3050. I think he just needs a bigger foot.

The Windsor is only 62 pounds heavier than the mod. The real problem with the windsor's weight is that it is located about 6 inches HIGHER than the mod motor throwing the CG off considerably.

I drove the FFR for a season with this same engine in that car. WAY too much power, you can't make it hook up so the weight advantage really didn't help that much. The FFR when you really put some power down becomes VERY traction limited.

As for the learning curve from the FFR, not that big a deal, while the Cobra's have great balance, they are aero bricks, have a 90 inch wheel base, vertually no suspension travel and are flat squirly as hell to drive on the edges. I have seen more guys that go to the FFR from a AI or AS really struggle than the other way around.
