Does anybody have any 16x8 or 16x7.5 5-lug Mustang wheels they want to get rid of or loan to me? Can pick up at Cresson.

Call my cell at 281-413-1948, please leave a message if I don't/can't answer.

Thanks

Rob, I have some 16x8's you can use at Cresson.
I have some y2k Cobras that I ran at the rookie day but all the tires were trashed so the wheels are loose.
I also have a set of 16x8 MB wheels with some super fast 888's on them.

If you still need these call me tomorrow and we can work it out.

Probably the nex event ill actually make it to. Likely not making cresson as of this afternoon, I must have pissed off the rain gods. Very tight work schedule and a miscommunication between a lawyer and an alabama redneck have killed my prep time. Dammit

Maybe. Depends on what your supposed to use to measure from to center the rear end. I assumed the frame rails would work the best but when I used them it stayed the same as it was when I got the car from Tony. I searched Google for "how to center a 2002 Mustang rear end with panhard bar" and found the instructions for the MM panhard bar that is on this car. I did not install it as it was already on the car and my old car had a Griggs panhard bar. Here is what I found. I used this and now the rear is 2"-2.5" more to the left than it was. I did not have time to get the car to the alignment shop. One thing is for sure. If these instructions are correct it was off a mile. This car is really low and I am going to look more tonight to see if Gary was right about the possibility of something hitting. Jeff W. reminded me about that the other day and even though I did not notice anything while working on the car I was not looking for the telltale signs of what Gary was talking about. Here is what I found and how I did it.

Check to ensure that the rear-axle housing is centered
beneath the body. If the dimensions on each side of the car are
not the same, move the axle by adjusting
the length of the Panhard Rod. Again, do not be
surprised if the dimensions on each side of the car are
different. The body of the Mustang is rarely square to
the suspension pickup points.

Wrap a plumb bob line around the rear lower control
arm chassis mounting bolt. This bolt can be accessed
through the hole in the torque box just in front of the
rear tire. The line should be over the threads of the
bolt, all the way against the nut face. Make sure that
the line hangs down from the bolt without touching any
bodywork. If it does touch the chassis, bend the
interfering metal out of the way.
Hold a straight edge against either the inside or
outside edge of the tire. Make sure you are not resting
the straight-edge on any raised tire lettering, or in the
seam of the tire. The seam of the tire is evident as a
small depression in the sidewall, and can be felt by
hand. Use another straight-edge and measure from the
plumb bob string to the straight-edge on the tire. Move
the axle side to side by adjusting the length of the
panhard rod until this dimension is within 1/16” on
each side of the car.

Thanks for the replies and calls. I got screwed on an inspection in Alabama and won't get home untill later tonight. This afternoon was going to be load RV, trailer, and car. I just can't get it done and still leave by 6 am tomorrow to be where I need to be for work on Friday which happens to be Dallas. I've been working and travelling an extreme amount and I'm pretty beat right now with no relief in site.

Besides that, NASA called me last night to tell me my medicall is expired. I could bring some rubber gloves to Cresson and let Frank do a physical, but that kinda scares me.

Have a great weekend and all this pent up racing energy is going to explode at TWS in April.

Rob, I just now got around to checking the forums.... Your wheels are already loaded up. Can I give them to someone else to bring to Houston for you? GaryR?
