I'll run AI if there are 4 of you.

Any idea if there is any practice on Friday? What time do the gates open for us to park up on the hill? Or should we not ask and just show up in the morning and start working on my car?

Mike-you have my oil?

I've seen something on the Supertouring board about a happy hour practice on Friday from 5pm to 6pm, but no idea on cost or how to sign up.

Anyone here have some insight? Trying to see if its worth knocking off work half a day to make it up there by then...

Why are we missing so many folks?

A) I got nothin' for Da Man, Da Myth or Da Legend... Da Proctor or Da Prodigy and I think Mosty's just cheating.
1) It's no fun without Mitch
2) It's too cold/wet/hot/dry/bugs/dark/light/expensive/far/hard
3) The scales are FUBAR
4) Wirtz is too fast... (Jeff - got the torque arm fixed, gonna work on the clutch and have a small setup tweak to try... TWS and Hallett are gonna be fun!)

- OR -

Spring break with the kids... will be in Washington D.C. and not on any moped/scooter contraptions.

For the record, I gave a couple guys a look at bringing my car - something about the paint or it being too fast or something.

Where's Mitch, Mulder, & Boudy?

Broke, lame & flakey ...

I'm selling blood just to survive ... maybe I should say leeches are extracting it ... I plan on being out there at least one day this weekend.

Steve blew out his knee and while Drs. were attempting to repair it, found an issue with his femur that required significant attention.

Out 6-8 weeks. He hopes to be back for Hallett.

GlennCMC70

Send Steve our best wishes, our get wells, and our prayers. I am sure that he would rather be racing.
As for Mitch, get those googley eyes out from behind that stack of $100 bills, and behind the wheel of the #9 car.
see you this weekend.

GlennCMC70
03-09-2010, 09:52 AM
Ron Jones said he would have the motor replaced. He was already planning it before he blew up Sunday.

Nick Runyon was suposed to make it w/ his new CMC car, but he says its not 100% finished. Something about bleeding the brakes and graphics and stuff. Its not like we couldnt do all that Friday at the track. We have done alot more for folks we dont even like. :P

I do not know about the others.

He is talking with Sponsor (Grandma)...

His dad installed a new 5th in spare tranny, in last night... car goes up on jacks today to remove defective one and stab rebuilt one...

Sam will be there in 2. Thought he registered, but he is in training all week, so he probably forgot. I might have to do it for him...

I'll be logging...

We don't have confirmation about Friday events yet.

mmmmMotul.

You know I love the way it smells out on track right after a fresh oil change.

Funny that we normally don't have any information about Friday events unless its from the track such as Misty inviting everyone to test. Would be nice to be able to look on the Nasa tx website to know everything that is going on for an event. Even nicer if that type of thing was included when next years schedule is announced. I think there would be more participation on Friday test days if every racer knew about it months in advance.

they're run by the tracks, so thats where you go for info. I dunno why its NASA-TX's problem :?

unforunatley that means inconsistent amounts of information - does anyone know what that happy hour costs or where to sign up? :x

It's not their "problem" but if they gathered that information and included it in with their stuff, it would help promote the race event.

Steve blew out his knee and while Drs. were attempting to repair it, found an issue with his femur that required significant attention. That ain't no good at all.

Steve! Get well quick.

Mulder is the only one w/ a good reason for not showing that i know of so far. You're right; I just cancelled the trip. Looks like I will lose the race car in the divorce proceedings anyway so I'll go ahead and post it in the For Sale section now.

FOR SALE CMC1/2 Fourth Gen. Good valve springs/iffy clutch hydrualics. Includes new fabbed *required* dash cover and fast paint.

Not worried about golf clubs... this is a Southern woman. Last time I took my still-only-wife-of-19yrs-and-change to the gun range, she shot a dessert plate sized group, center mass, at about 10 yds.

I don't mess with her much; over the years I learned to just say "Yes Ma'am" a lot.

Says the guy who showed up at MSR-H without his car...

I had a pretty good reason, or so I thought.
I used all my off season building Mikes car. I was out of town almost every week after that and most weekends. When I was in town I worked 50 hours a week and had school 2 days a week (3 hrs each day). Key Staff meeting in Austin on one free Sat just before the race and the Friday of MSR-H weekend, I got in from NYC (there from Sun - Fri) at midnight. got 4 hrs sleep and made it from DFW to MSR-H in well under 4 hrs.
I was just glad i made it to MSR-H.
