Where is everyone staying? I usually stay at the Manor House, but it looks like they are already full.

its become a tradition of mine to stay at the Best Western in Navasota. Eat at the Mexican place in the parking lot, drink a few margaritas, stumble back to the room... good times :)

its not all that far from the track either - 25ish min

Did that one time back in my DE days. Not a great place but every bit as good as the Manor House. The Mexican place was packed until midnight.

Haven't booked yet...probably need to.

I've only stayed at the Manor house before....there's a Best Western in College Station..any thoughts on that one..seems closer than Navasota but there is something to be said for tradition ;)

We need to get away from this Manor House tradition. The place is a dump.

Motel 6 a couple blocks down the road was about the same price and much nicer.

You folks are too high maintenance.....sleep at the track!

I'll be staying at my house. It is only about ten minutes away! :D Gary and Nick are staying here too. I'd invite more...but my parents are coming down, and Costas will be here, so we're full up. There are a ton of hotels in B/CS, even a brand new Best Western in Bryan at Hwy6/William J Bryan. Might be a little farther drive...but Cracker Barrel and iHop are next door.

Sam and I will be slummin' it at The 900...our house...10min away. First dibs go to the Love's, but if they back out we have an extra bed and couch for whomever is interested.

Looks like Kyri and I will be bunking there too :) The confirmation email doesn't say anything about leaving the lights on though...I must not rate

I'm debating whether to stay Saturday night. With the house a whole 68 miles from the track, it's very easy to go home.

However I must comment on Grandma Brewer's comment above. Since I've driven from Houston to or through BCS several hundred times, the 25ish minutes seemed suspect. Google maps says that it is 13.8 miles from the Navasota Best Western.

25 minutes? Or is that a TTF time?

My best lap - 1:28.738 during a race on stickers, 1:29.804 on old scrubs in TT
Wayne's best lap - 1:30.158 in TT

thats 1.420 seconds for those playing at home

you were saying?

I guess thats what I get for quoting transit times off a fuzzy memory of a hangover ridden drive. Those were some damned good 'ritas at the Mexican place ;) maybe in my next hangover fog I'll accidentaly put you behind the HPDE guys

Plan A: have the bus there for the LiiR team. I can make arrangements to have the popup camper there if anyone wants to sleep at the track...

PM me if you might be interested in staying in the camper..

Lets see some TWS times in a couple weeks.

Ken is a really nice guy, I like Ken.

Ken signed me off for TT, I like Ken.

MSRC is a really tight track, I like Ken.

I hate to pick on someone who lost a tire and wrecked their car in the enduro, I like Ken.

TT RESULTS

Ken: 2:25:374

Wayne: 2:05:701

Just curious, do you even lift at TWS?

bwah ha ha ha ha ha!

I like Ken

Ken Brewer - PTF Race 1

2:06.009

 I threw a "ringer" in the car for TT and he let me down

(actually that was Richard Fekete that borrowed the car from me to collect some points in TTS class and he was being really nice to my tires, he just needed to get two flying laps to collect points and we never did get it sorted out right with registration & T&S)

so 2:05.701 vs 2:06.009. 0.308 for those playing at home. I'll take that, good showing for 117whp 8) Man, those CMC2 cars might not be as powerful as I thought

we are in the 57's and 58's now.
Whats your car weigh?

kbrewmr2
05-04-2010, 11:52 AM
2657lb min weight, 117whp 125wlbft SAE correction. Saw 112mph top speed on my Traqmate data fwiw.

oh, so the FAST guys are in the 57s and 58s... 8 seconds ahead of Wayne. I got outqualified by only a few tenths

- KB, wondering if he's under the bus yet or if I need to keep going...

Good of you to reveal the ringer there Ken! Richard is a great driver and could have easily cleared the 2:05 if he was really trying - then we could have prolonged this trash typing  .
