Pick a day that you would be able to make it. Please only vote if you are bringing a car to dyno.
Right now, I'm looking to use GSSpeed in Carrolton (Frankford Rd).
Poll is set to run for 10 days.

I voted for the 8th.

I see the pole results data and not the vote button. So I should be on your list ... so to speak.

I haven't voted yet b/c as of now all dates look open for me.
I would prefer either the 16th or 22nd.

What's the actual address? If I don't have the car I will see about stopping by. Giving some thought to picking up the car the night before and keeping it in Plano. I just need more room.
Anyone want to buy a vehicle? 68 Camaro, 99 Suburban, 97 Bmw?

I don't think any Directors are handing them out until the first event of 2011. If I get them, I'll bring them.

Cool. Everyone will get to install them at the last minute in the wind, rain, dust, dark, etc. That will look great...

If it were up to me, we wouldn't be changing them at all.
Don't assume my intent is to make this as hard as possble, just trust there is more to it than you know, and work w/ what your given just like myself.
The fact's:
I don't have them.
I don't know when I'll get them.
This region has the same issues as all the other regions w/ this.
Feel free to step up and get your hands on them and mail them out induvidually to each and every driver.

Or you could sit back and point out the obvious.

Can we simply not require them until at least the 2nd event of the season?

If you know me at all, you know I'm not gonna enforce things that are beyond your control.
Lets cross that bridge when we get there.

Glenn,
Please clarify my statements.

Just to be clear...

Saturday, Jan-8. First Dyno pull starts at 9am. Make sure you are there in enough time to be ready for the first pull.

Alright-I plan to see you losers there in the morning. Likely in the 68 to see if Louis can check out something on it. Don't know if I will have a kid in tow or not. If anyone else will have a kid with them let me know. Just have to make sure the cowboy doesn't get close to my kid  Bring my shirt please.

Everyone up for lunch afterwards? Lowest dyno numbers buys?

marshall_mosty

Bryan,
No kiddos for me tomorrow (mom's watching them)...

I'm bringing "the cowboy", but will make sure he's wearing an appropriate outfit...

Sounds good regarding the lunch.

Then I'n dynoing my truck ...

Yeah-like your on the edge of the rules LT1 isn't going to put out the highest torque of anyone there. I'll try to remember the t-stat.

Awhile back I was thinking of putting the Suburban on the rollers if there weren't enough people.

I talked with Louis this morning and I'm bringing the 68 for him to check out. Getting an 02 code for the rears that was turned off years ago. Also have a high idle code 507. Of course this starts happening just when someone comes to inspect the car-go figure.

mitchntx

Just to double check ...

I need to bring the car for the dyno cert and then I can get a race tech inspection with the tech inspection form.

I need to bring my suit, helmet, gloves, shoes and HANs to get a NASA safety inspection with my log book.

Then I will be good to go for 2011.

Just got back to the house.

It was good to see the DFW crew (Mike P, Mitch, Glenn, Michael, Bryan Leinhart (and his awesome LS1 1st Gen Camaro), Brian Calder, Wiley Alexander, and James Proctor. We also met Brian's co-driver Dave. There was a TTB M3 as well as a Spec Piniata. Also, Kevin Turner brought out his very nice and very green Pontiac Firebird (an old one... don't know the year).

Everyone had a great time.

I put down 299/309. Minimum weight for the year will be 2850, so the ballast I just put in comes out... :?

Looking forward to seeing everyone again in three short weeks!!

Another shout out to Louis and GSS Speed. I went there on Saturday since they were having a big dyno weekend. I picked up #24 after sitting in the trailer since the last Cresson event. Rolled it out of the trailer, put in a battery and threw down 261/301 for my dyno cert. Pretty much exactly what I thought it would do based on all of my old dyno runs. So I don't think it was reading low.

Maybe you have a tune in it or the previous owner had one put in.

You are right and wrong. When I bought the car it had a tuned computer in it but I got another stock computer with the car. I'm pretty sure this is the computer I have in the car right now. I even had it checked while on the dyno a few years ago and had them download what they thought was a stock tune from a 98 Camaro.
