EV & MB,
Please share the 411 on your rear wings.
I think I may need one to be competitive
in the future.

Really, who makes 'em and where do you get
a good deal?
I heard someone say that they got it of Ebay?
Are they adjustable?
Aluminium or CF?

thx,

jb

Bling Bling Wing specs

ebay
Megan Racing
I actually got mine for $24.95 <1 bid> (shipping was over $40 though)
Aluminum

**I would suggest replacing the hardware that is in the kit with some grade 8 stuff from Home Depot or Lowe's.**

I thought about replacing Megan with Placebo on the side of the wing.

Yep, EV covered it. Ugly and cheap. Not sure how effective lol.

Effective... EV and I covered just that issue last week. I too ordered one of these towering infernos but agree'd that the real advantage was probably in the mind of the driver, not the wing. Hense, EV nailed it - Placebo.

BTW: Buy it now on Ebay for $79.95. Search "Megan Racing Wing." Megan Racing alone with give you 17 gagillion hits.

So no modding to the uprights?
The height was unchanged to fit under the rule?
$25, now they're $80? WTF?
I'm still wondering what this (NOPI) thing would look like on a 3G.
Need someone to do some photoshop here.

thx,

jb

JB,

I paid like $55 for mine but like EV said, they really gouged me on the shipping, I think it was $35 for shipping so I put a total of $90 into the NOPI device.

I did not have to modify my uprights to meet the CMC height rule, but I did modify the upright locations so I could use the stock spoiler location holes that were already in the deck lid of the car. Added upgraded hardware at that time.

Each application might require more or less modifications to get the correct wing angle. My coupe trunk slopes down requiring more adjustments/tweaking of the supports to get the correct angle. The SN95 Mustangs are just the opposite and require very little in the way of tweaking.
Send me a pic of your car and I will try to match the angle with a shot of mine and photoshop the wing onto CMC#3.

Jeff: I'd save the money, nothing is going to look good on a 3G. :P
