Hmmm...I could swear I registered in January...I scheduled work, my sons birthday, my parents 50th anniversary in Canada and a couple less important activities around that weekend...I'll take care of it when I get back to the home office.
Hallett 2011 - BE THERE!

As long there are at least 5 CMC cars I'll stay... less than that and it's The Duece; I wanted to register semi-early so all the true CMC cars could get a car count.

Nope.... not for Hallett. Yet.

I'll not have my car there. I also may not be there at all.
I guess we need to chat w/ the RM guys and see who all is still in CMC1. I know alot of the RM CMC'er modded up for CMC2 as they are all moving at once (2012). Even though they have CMC2mods done, they are suposed to be restricted to CMC1 power. I think I was clear that in this region, that would place them in CMC2 for Hallett. Hallett has to be the track in the Texas Region where HP means the least.

Glenn,

We have a clear understanding in RM that if a car has CMC2 parts on/in it, it will run CMC2 when it goes out of the RM region; this specifically includes Hallett.

So all should be good.

thx

Thanks for the clarification. This wil help some of our folks decide on CMC or CMC2 for Hallett. I hope we are all in CMC2.

No worries, there are more waiting for room on their CC's to sign up. BTW, if anyone is in this boat - please let me know and we will at least save a spot for you.

I guess Landrum, Liebbe, Wirtz, and Kellum decided to give some of the MPS a chance this year.

No kidding....We can't let those guys take the summer national crown.

It had a slight miss last night , but i ran out of time to check things. At six flags today with the kiddos, so maybe before the weekend is up I will get the bugs ironed out.

Does anyone have an enclosed trailer or motorhome spot available for Gavin and me? Need to find a place to crash. The Tahoe doesn't sleep near as good as the old Explorer.

I'll have my trailer there, but not staying there.

There are other tentative tennants ... James and Glenn. But both of them are waffling on making the trip.

Pay for the power hook-up and the AC works great!

If you have an air mattress, bring some sort of pad to lay it on. The diamond plate floor will gouge holes in it.

I am still hopeful at this point. Dad and I are going to start putting heads back on the car tonight.

Did you find the problem?

We put the engine back together last night and it runs and sound good... so it was definitely something with the other set of heads, but unfortunately nothing stands out as obvious. It must have a slightly burned valve, just not bad enough to be visible. I'll have those heads rebuilt later and possibly find out.

But the good news is that it looks darn good that I will make it to Hallett now. I just need to finish putting the car back together. Last night we just put enough together to hear it run.

I will need to get a new dyno.... and maybe Alamo can get me in on Saturday.

BTW... I might need to borrow a restrictor plate. I have never had to worry about making over 260, but this engine possibly could do that.

Marshall...I am sure we can manage it.

Could be a bent or sticking valve. Some aircraft engines have issues with sticking valves.

Glenn is 'da man'... Thanks... I really appreciate it.

I may not need them, but I wouldn't have time to get some and re-dyno if this engine makes more than 260.
