Just finished bolting up the last parts to finish my PI head swap. I have all electrical power, starter turns, crank and belt is turning but not really sounding like it is trying to turn over. Mechanical oil pressure gauge is at 0 psi. Oil pan is full, unscrewed filter and filled it with oil as well. Plugs and coil packs are routed correctly (double checked). Any ideas on how to attack this problem? How long should I have to crank the engine before the air is out of the oil line and pressure returns?

You will not see much, if any, oil pressure from spinning the engine with the starter. As soon as it fires you will see a pressure of 40 to 65 cold. Did you take the front cover off? If so is the crank trigger on correctly? Make sure all the sensors are connected. I sometimes forget the crank trigger sensor. More data. FMR

Thanks Frank, the cps was at least one of the issues (couple of wires rubbed and were bare and touching) Got it started but now how some more major gremlins popping up.
