I would like to attend this event but I did not hear one person last weekend say they were going? The days after Thanksgiving are boreing as Hell! Someone come race with me.

This would be a great weekend to do car swaps, log data, do all sorts of rookie work.
Install passenger seats and ride along's.

If anyone needs someone to ride shotgun, I'll be willing to do if for a bit.

I know I'm going to try make it, I know I need some pointers. I think Tilton and Wade are trying to be there as well, Ben is iffy.

I'll take you up on your offer Glenn. Don't eat too much at Thanksgiving, all I have is my old 15" Kirkey seat!

Too late for that. I already use a 17". JP - bring your porta power.

I am planning to be there and do the rookie day. Now if I could come up with some extra money or a good trade for Jerry's wheels and R888s.

I am definitely out. Kendra is pretty good about my racing, but this is big family holiday around our house.

Thats right, I forgot it was Thanksgiving. I do know that since my wife started working again as of a couple months ago I could attend. I'll have to see what my family plans are.
I'm back in a wait and see status.

I'll be there.

I actually have a class reunion in Houston Sat night... No worries though, for the Houston race I went to a Sat night wedding west of San Antonio.

I was hoping to dust off ol' Blue and come out to play a bit. Car swaps / ride alongs would be great from my point of view.

Your record should last all the way until my turn.

;)

If the creamsicle makes it, I'm down for some car swapping. Maybe I should put the bad passenger door back on...

Gonna have to miss this one too. Greg has been sick and unable to get to my seat and some family stuff has kept me from paying off some things I figured I would have had done by now. Time to put down the shovel for a bit I guess.

What people forget is just because they can't afford to run a car for the weekend doesn't mean you can't be at the track. When you work for NASA on a weekend (on grid, on corners, making dinner happen, tech, etc) you can apply that towards future FREE TRACK TIME. Or if that cold hard cash is important, that can be worked out as well.

I guess this isn't how it's worked in the past in TX, so I figured I would throw that out there and remind people again. I'd say at one point or another at least 1/2 the racers in Rocky Mountain (and probably all the other NASA regions) have raced for FREE because they gave back to the sport and spent some time making the event happen.

Dave, I'd put that memo out there on the main NASA board as well

I had thought of going that route but it was hard enough to get a hall pass when I was going to be driving.:p As is I am hoping to be able to swing by and visit one of the afternoons.

Nice concept... I've been wasting time crewing for Jason and BSing in the garages

Hey Ben - glad to hear it! Don't think I've met you yet but this is one of the smaller, more relaxing events so we can fix that pretty quick. What are you driving? I'll be sure to look for you and stop by to chat...
