View Full Version : A call for our seasoned experts

As announced at ECR, NASA Texas is setting up a "Rookie Day" format for the non-racing event at TWS in November. What this means is we pair up "rookies" (anyone that wants to have instruction from a veteran racer) with an appropriate veteran expert. The on track sessions will be passing drills, follow the leader, etc. We will have post session discussions where someone will present on topics like setting up passes, suspension tuning, pre-race prep, etc.

What we are looking for is YOU our seasoned racing veterans!! You will be paired up with one "rookie" and it is your responsibility to educate them throughout the day, focusing on whatever needs your "rookie". You will be required to sit in during the post track session discussions and participate as needed in them, but you will not be required to present to the crowd if you dont want to. You must have a car with you for lead/follow and other on track drills.

Email me (txroadracer@gmail.com) and let me know if you're interested in helping out one of your fellow drivers. Let me know the class/car you typically run, what car you can bring, and whether or not you're interested in presenting to the group.

I have already had to claim the family exemption for this weekend. Sorry... I would like to participate and help out, but I can't on a Holiday weekend.

I'll be at the track for Director stuff, without a car.

I spoke with Mr. Fernandez, and he gave me a choice of topics to present to anyone wishing to attend my classroom.

The topics I get to choose from include:

Cooking: Martha Stewart's jailhouse recipe for the perfect Cupcake - It's all about the sugar coating.

Occupy TWS: Mass demonstration on track against blue oval greed and AI rules corruption - How to achieve parity in the pony car movement.

or

Leadership: Hussein, Gaddafi, Covini - Who will be found hiding in an underground tunnel next?

=)

Granted I have an opinion on all of the above topics, but I think I'll pitch about Race Strategy if y'all are interested.

I will be doing a presentation on "The CCR: Appeals and navigating the path to setting things right." This is open to all racers and as a matter of fact the more advanced you are - the more likely you need it!

"The CCR: Appeals and navigating the path to setting things right."

NASA Tx should have it's own CCR - scrap the whole appeals section and replace it with 1 picture:

Too many polys for AI/CMC - remember we are a low budget series. Better to go with a 3rd or 4th gen model - far fewer polys, runs just as fast, same functionality, and looks just as good within the 50/50 rule. Put those 5th gen models in their own series.

....sorry...took a brake (pun intended) from working on our latest video game to check what was going on here... and damn -racing IS just like a video game....
