Clifton suggested we start a list, so...
Kyri and I are GA. So Friday we plan to move around and get a sense of vantage points. T3 and T15ish grassy knolls might be good places. For Fri/Sat night probably do a swing from the hotel downtown along 3rd/4th then 6th and maybe hang at a few of my favorites on 10th and so on. I'd like to have us hang as a group if anyone is interested.

I have a GA ticket too. I'll be looking for a way to sneak in to Race Control.

I didn't get tickets when they were available but picked some up for Friday and Saturday. Dan and I will be in Turn 15 on Friday and Turn 4 on Saturday. Probably spend a bit of time wandering around checking out the place.

Really looking forward to seeing the track. Just finished watching the making of the track special on Speed. Looks great with lots of elevation change.

Cathy and I will be in turn 2. I have a friend who can't make it because of the storm on the east coast. He has 2 turn 12, 3 day tickets for sale at cost. Let me know and I can put in touch with him.

I drove out to the track Sunday, and they were still working on many things. Huge work crew out there. Still working on a new feeder road from the north to the track which should be done now.

So where is everyone parking/shuttling? I was going to get an off-side parking just in case but they sold out. So based on our tickets we are *supposed* to catch shuttle from the Travis County Expo center...gonna do that tomorrow but since we are staying downtown I am thinking of just catching that shuttle Sat/Sun...unless they have shuttle nazi's.

Any tales to tell about riding the shuttle?

Shuttle works fine. Just not real fast. It also doesn't drop you close to the track. Between the trek to /from the shuttle and making a complete loop of the track to check out the view from all the different grandstands, I'm pretty tired. Expect to stand in line for everything and bring lots of cash. The track is amazing. Can't wait to drive it...

What Richard said...only annoying thing was shuttle driver on way out insisted we have 55 people on the bus...so we had to wait for two people because the first 20 people or so were groups of 3 or more...still only about 15 min.
Before you can race the Grand Prix of the US...you must qualify! Until tomorrow ;)
