WOW, I did not notice last time I looked at this........back to back really long road trips to NOLA then Hallett (my favorite tracks with NOLA getting top billing now). Also Hallett keeps getting later and later. If I remember correctly we used to race there the first weekend in June. Now we are almost into July.

June is a busy month at Hallett. We've always been flexible with them so that we can race there. We have to avoid the Shelby event and we try to avoid the Indy TMS event and Father's Day.

Hallett shift is partially my fault. June 15-16 which was an earlier open date is the same weekend I will be in CA for my daughter's college graduation. Hallett or Graduation - neither of which I want to miss.

I knew it was your fault! I can tell you that graduation is a POS but at least you know you are through spending money. Jay owes me enough money I should be racing in ALMS.

Wow, 7 race weekend schedule now? That hurts the bank account more than the back-2-back long hauls. Can we just make EC a non-points race for CMC? Make it a Rookie day?

Good point. Are all points races or different amount of drops? Everybody hates Houston so how about making it a non points race?

Six drops instead of five.

CMC in Cali only picks 6 of the 12 or so NASA weekends to be CMC race weekends. Are we there yet?

No problem there. Earlier or later is better in my book as well!!! We had the 15-16 or 22-23 available to us and I had to make the selfish choice. If we can start to weasel into some other groups traditional dates earlier in summer, I'll jump on it.

In 2005, we ran in September which was quite nice. Anybody interested in setting that up depending on where the Championships are held?

You guys can increase drops, but then that goes against what is printed in the CMC rules. Just need to decide before the season starts so everybody knows and has been warned.

Or, you can delete a weekend for points. How about ECR or Sept TWS? We can use your time to build in an enduro and those that have the means to team up (or drive solo) can get their jollies that way.

In RM where we have 7 or 8 points weekends, I always give that as an option for series to not run a weekend or set their drops at 20%. I can't force you to go :)!!!

I think dropping a weekend from the CMC points would be fine. Last year Dan dominated TWS so bad it wasn't really fair to the rest of the guys. Since we like to be fair, we should drop the first TWS weekend to level the playing field and make the action more exciting for everyone...

CMC says 20% drops. We moved it to 15% at one time and then the season went from 5 to 6 weekends. We bumped it back to 20%. The goal w/ drops is to allow a full weekend to be dropped due to not being able to attend a weekend due to family/work conflicts.

Do NOT drop TWS. If anything drop ECR or MSR Houston for points.
