Ok - Who is in for Hallett this year? Should be a great weekend! Anyone looking to have a little vacation before hand should make it up a week early and attend the Shelby/Ford Mid America event! Several days of track time at the track, HUGE car cruise (800+ cars), car show, lots of fun! And on Saturday they run the track CW just for fun! We also have a big party at our house on Wednesday night and all are invited!

I should finally have my AI car finished and running for the event...if the stars align correctly!

Can't wait!:D

I'm in, assuming I can get my very long to-do list finished (engine built/tuned/dyno, suspension issues fixed, rear axle issues fixed).
Hallett is my favorite, and I'd hate to miss it. My mother is coming out to see her first race, and has already booked a hotel room, so extra pressure!
She's a big NASCAR fan, so it should be easy to win her over.

As far as I know I am in for Hallett...but won't get there until Friday afternoon.

Should be there assuming I can resolve my fueling issue.

I really shouldn't be, but I'm in for Hallett. At 5pm on Sunday I'll have exactly 14 hours to make the 8 hour trip back home, unload everything, put the camper and trailer back into storage, and make it through airport security to catch a flight for work. 1 hour after the plane lands, I'll be presenting to a slew of customers at an industry trade show. If I can squeeze in a shower somewhere and sleep on the plane I can make it work dammit! Can't miss the Summer Shootout...that's my favorite race of the year!

Anybody have any 'un-occupied' overnight trailer/RV space? My deliver-em-setup RV guys flaked fully this year so Scott and I are on Plan C.

Planning to roll up Thursday (and pay for the 2014 raceport for Casey and I) to have a full Friday practice day to.

Is that the same race port where we drink Dr. Franks sippin hooch, and eat pickled okra, while Casey works on his car?

I paid for my four car garage last year before I left but Connie will not let you reserve a RV spot. At least I have always been told that we could not. Last year the tire guy was in my spot and was nice enough to move over. There is only one spot large enough for my rig that is next to the garage I have rented. Has the policy changed?

Yep...that's the one. And BTW - working on your car all night is an important part of the Hallett experience. Pfffdt....you guys are doing it all wrong. :)

If anyone knows of an empty slot in a raceport, please let me know.

I have never been to Hallet. Do I just need to bring an EZ up and hope for the best?

I am also looking for space in a race port. Was in with Jerry last year but not sure if that is a possibility again? Anyone looking please let me know. Thanks.

Pranav, Figure that you will be parking in the dirt/grass/gravel and it can only possibly get better from there. Hallett's infrastructure is poor. It is more akin (but not as good as) Eagle's Canyon. Nothing like TWS, MSR's, or NOLA. At least at ECR the car stays on asphalt. (except when Dave is driving!) zing!

We will never leave a man out to dry if we can help it. There's always room to work on something if necessary.

Are there electrical/water hookups in the RV spots? Thinking of borrowing the wife's uncle's rig for the weekend.

So are RV spots first come first serve or pre booked?

electric only. No sewer. There is water you can fill your tanks with but you can't stay hooked up to it.

I didn't think I was going to be able to make it, but I think I'm going now. SCREW WORK!

So are RV spots first come first serve or pre booked? RV spots first come - first serve. Raceports reserved and typically those that have them reserve the following year when we check in. If I remember correctly, there is 30amp 120 at the raceports...

Now... if you find somebody with a raceport and no RV who could be talked into parking their trailer down the hill... ahem... ahem...

Does Raceport equal fancy shed?

Craig, yes. Think steel building with a garage door on both ends (for the one Jerry has) and just a steel E-Z up for all the others.

Thanks Marshall. I think the Grizwalds will pull up where the kids can exhaust some energy
