All,
Frank, Rob, and I will be driving Frank's car in the enduro. We are going to need a few hands to help with the stops that involve a driver's change and most importantly tires.

We will need help at:

5:00 (driver change and fuel)
6:30 (fuel and 4 tires)
8:00 (driver change and fuel)

The goal would be having at least one volunteer for the 5:00 and 8:00 stops to work the fuel rig or fire bottle.
We would need 3 people for the 6:30 stop for tires (jack guy, two guys on guns, and one helper for on/off one one of the two tires. The driver who isn't going in the car (me) will act as an extra tire helper.

I'm running a radical with a buddy of mine in the 4 hour and would also appreciate some help for 1, maybe 2 stops.

Is anyone else in our group running the enduro? We could share pit resources. Anyone, hello,, is this thing on?

I am planning to be around, but didn't want to commit just yet to help. In all likelihood I can give you guys a hand.

Come on guys - post up or Dr. Frank will tell bad stories about you.

We can really use the help. For me it will be dragging my sorry ass out of the car at the end of my stint.

I'm more than willing to act as pit crew when I'm not driving

I told you yesterday that I would help.

JJThat's true, Jerry Jordan has graciously agreed to help. The note above was for others.

Now I see why Frank hired Rob for his team-not for his driving abilities but for his enforcement tactics.

Frank-I'm happy to help but my status is still in jeopardy-even if I am coming I'm not sure I won't have things to do to the car while there. So put me on the list of alternates but make sure I'm on the grocery list for plenty of BL, Ice Cream, and snacks!

Also, did you put a hybrid in your car or something? Your planning to go 3 hours straight without a fuel stop? I hope Rob isn't your first driver-he can't keep it on track for 20 minutes at TWS.

Dan and Craig are going to be at the track for the morning practice. They said they would be available to help for the enduro.

The car goes 90 minutes on fuel, but on the non-driver change spots, the 2 non-drivers can handle the fueling.

Thank Dave.

Chuck Penney has also volunteered pending a dyno cert on his car. Thanks Chuck, I hope your car does well on the dyno and you are on ready to go for the weekend.

Thanks for all who have offered their assistance. I think Frank is coming in tonight, I plan on coming early Friday morning and Marshall will be there around 11 or 12 Friday. Come find us at the track and we will put you to work. This type of "friends and family" attitude is what makes AI/CMC racing the best.

Thanks to all of those that helped Frank, Marshall and myself with the 8 hour enduro, we could not have done it without you. It's still a bit of a blur for me but I remember John Martin, Jerry Jordan, Dave Neary, Michael Mosty, Dave Francis, and others I regret that I don't recall. I would especially like to thank Frank for letting me run around the track in his car for almost three hours until I lost my energy, concentration and most of my hearing. It was awesome, and I hope he invites me to do it again!

Also, thanks to those who rallied and helped fix Frank's axle bracket on Saturday. I only wish that I could have stayed around to help, but had family commitments.

A big thanks to Frank to allow me to run his car on the final anchor leg Friday. Racing at night is a COMPLETELY different experience. I'd like to think that the amount of the seat time in utter darkness was what allowed me to step up my game on Saturday and Sunday since I've never run CW before...
