Found the wire going from the coil to the opti reads 70k+ ohms, which explains a persistent rich idle/pop and high rpm miss after replacing a dead opti. Probably got bad from being yanked so many times.

I've got a ton of leftover/good wire and opti-side boots/terminals, just trying to figure out what goes on the coil side since none of what I have fits.

Would this fit? Anyone make their own coil wire?

Alternatively, where can I get just the one wire? All of my other plug wires are good and I'm making custom ones to tidy a few later on; don't want to buy a set if I can avoid it (they never fit right). GM/Delco part #s for the one wire don't pull up anymore...

I made all of my own buying MSD components from summit...stupid easy.

70k could be right depending on the type of wire.
My MSD is 31 ohms.

Yeah so I'm an idiot, it was 700 ohms.

I still made an MSD one after figuring I had the right terminals too. Its just another optispark style plug end that goes on the coil. It ohms out to 20.

All good to go. I replaced the cap/rotor over the weekend.
Will see if I still have a miss this weekend.
