All set. Show up here with cash at 9am this Saturday, the 10th:
Fast Automotive
18309 Farm to Market 529
Cypress, TX 77433

I'll send a private note to you guys about the cost details. Trying not to make this a big party since we're getting a pretty sweet deal, but this remains open to any other NASA cars looking to get a compliance dyno.

Who's in?
Pranav
Tilton
Sean
Francis

How does Saturday 1/10 sound to everyone? Shooting for 6-8 cars...

I will call FAST up, they moved to a bigger shop near their old location:
https://www.google.com/maps?safe=off&espv=2&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.81456516,d.aWw&ion=1&biw=1262&bih=439&q=FAST+automotive+houston&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&ei=KYmIVJuGOYapyATe54CABA&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ

After we're done dyno-ing we can all take turns using their dedicated burnout box out back.

I might be compelled to bring Misty's Grand National down to see what it will put down. Keep us posted on time and price.

Thanks.

Alright I'll call em up this week and let em know we're shooting for 8ish cars. How much did we pay last time?

If I recall correctly, last time it was $75 per three pulls. The issue is that if someone if a little over and needs a 4th or 5th pull, it hurts. We have tried to divide the cost evenly between all comers. I know, that's communist, but it sucks to think you are paying $75 and end up at $150. See if you can get a deal for $600 for five hours (9am until 2pm), with no more than 10 cars. That's two cars an hour, $60 each. If we are short cars, we divide the $600 by whoever shows up, or if we have 8 cars, but two cars pull extra, etc. Tell him that we can help with straps if necessary so that he only needs a dyno operator.

Damn that sucks, the shop I use in Dallas(Arlington) is Redline, it's an import place but they charge me $50/hr and I operate the dyno.

I'm out. Motor finally crapped out and won't have it put back together before then.

What broke on it? Are you sure it can't be fixed in time?

Something with cylinder #1. Compression had been ~80PSI, now it's probably down to nothing. Getting a lot of blow-by now, and I went through a quart of oil in two sessions last week. I've got a new shortblock at the machine shop, but the probably won't be done until the 12th.

I could probably limp it through the weekend, but I'd rather not risk ruining something else on the car. Or ruining someone else's if the thing completely let go and blew oil all over the track or something.

One less person to beat me!

On a more serious note, I should be available after work that week if the bottom end is ready.

You know this is your problem. You shouldn't be out beating on your car unless it's a race. Quit cheating.

Headed to Az for a funeral. In Odessa now. 6hrs to go 300 miles. Feel like I am in a SPEC RX7 or something.
Should be at Houston, certainly without my car.
Anyone wanna team up?
