If someone is very familiar with Ford sb 302's, please PM me when convenient. I'm at wits end and after four days of not getting anywhere, I'm calling out for help.

Thanks.

well? you get anywhere w/ this?

After several weeks of ignoring the mess I created in the garage due to the holiday's, it was time to get back to it.

Thanks everyone that PM'd with concern, guidance and suggestions.

Valve springs were the ultimate cause to the engine problems. Once I had the heads off and at the machine shop, they tested them and lets just say that a 4 cyl car would have problems running with these springs installed.

Many parts were replaced during this episode so the motor is basically brand new at this point.

No..no dyno numbers yet. Do they really make restrictor plates for the 5.0?

I'm really afraid that after hearing it run and idle along with revs up to 6k, it's going to be a race for second place between all of you. Yes, it's painful to have to live with that and I might have to seek counseling to get past it.

Thanks again, and I wish you all well. 8)
