Most likely, we will run 4 groups with six 20 min. sessions apiece. You will probably get more time than that based on volume of participation, but I will not let it be less. $180 for the day, $100 for a half day.

Applications can be found here:
http://www.texasworldspeedway.com/trackday.php

If you have any questions, PM me, post, or call Rusty at 979-690-2500.

Misty,

You must have been reading my mind all day. You answered my question before I could ask it.

Those of you wanting to do a half day...

Use the form at the link above and under "Dr License #" put "1/2 day only - $100". Thanks!

Is this only open to racers with a license? I was wondering if someone like myself could participate who is only running DE and working towards a license? Though I am not 100% that I am coming so it may not matter.
Thanks for the info.

Yes, this open to you, Bryan. I'm planning an advanced DE group. If there aren't many DE guys, I'll rearrange things and everyone will get more time.

If we get a garage space, can we keep that same space for the rest of the weekend assuming we also pay the garage space fee to NASA?

Don't know why not. Let me get with Shannon and see if she can get garage assignments to me beforehand.

Sweet. Thanks for the help. Signed up today for the TnT.

I would sign up for the first event too but I need a car number first.... Dave? :)

we CMC/AI guys normally take up the whole middle garage. where ever w/ go, we all try and pit together. so lets try and keep it that way.

i'm sure the track is hot @ 8am.

rpoz27

Meeting at 7:30am. Track is hot at 8am. Will offer a "one lap of TWS 2.9 CW" class for any who are interested. We will take 1 hour for lunch. Snack bar will be open late morning. Track will go cold at 5:00.

Hopefully, I will have garage assignments for everyone by then. I think NASA staff is a bit busy right now, so I haven't heard back on that.

I will probably do the schedule tonight.

Thursday, the track gates by the office will be open til 5pm and the main gates will be open from 7pm til 10pm. They charge $10 for overnight drop-offs. Camping is allowed.

Mr. Warren, timing gear should be intact and operational. I'll ask to be certain, though.

Mr. Warren

Hey, I like the sound of that ....

Yeah, it's like, "Mr. Warren could you please step out of the car" or "Mr. Warren are you aware that pictures like this are illegal to possess".

It will be close as to wether I make it to the track by 5:00pm. What is the latest I can drop off on Friday night?

Rusty responded and said the the timing loop would NOT be running on Friday.

Without data, kind of makes the day moot except for learning the track.

Should have garage assignments sometime Thursday.

James, track gates will be open from 7am til 10pm Friday.

Timing stuff is a-okay for the weekend, according to Rusty. Wish we could run it for Friday. I guess you'll just have to count... one-one thousand, two-one thousand....

I am interested in the one lap class. Is there a HPDE group on Friday? Will be be able to have the same garage spot from thursday night through sunday?
Todd are we hitting the dixie chicken friday or sat night?

Don't mind Burch there Bryan.
We're going thru another cycle and Burch is "King of the Hill" right now...he'll be bumped off in no time.

If we pit all the AI/CMC cars together in the middle garage on Friday, chances are likely that we MAY be able to all stay there. I'll talk to Shannon to see if we can work that.

Perhaps if TMS could reserve the middle garage for AI/CMC only (provided we have enough of us) then that will ENSURE that we get to stay there all weekend long.

Thanks Misty for helping out!

I'm up for the Chicken either Friday or Saturday. Friday may be better since we have no plans. Saturday could end up a late nite and a tired night...could be trouble. I'll have to bring my stick to beat the women off of me. 8)

Tornado didn't get me tonight and I'm not going to let Hank Hill get to me either.
JB-are you making the trip down?
Friday night sounds good since there is the get together sat night. I like the attitude. I would imagine with your wit and charm picking up the college ladies will be no problem. Guess I'll have to bring a shirt without holes. I think I will be going by the name of Aryton Senna Friday night.

See you on Saturday.
