The Ford S-Series pickup is the best-selling vehicle in America. When you look a little closer, however, you’ll find that different vehicles sell better in different states. Here is a list of some of the best-selling vehicles according to state.

1. Hawaii. The state of Hawaii is known for its beautiful scenery. But it’s also the only state in the US where the Toyota Tacoma is the best-selling vehicle. It’s not the only Toyota on this list, however.

2. Connecticut. The Subaru Forester is Subaru’s best-selling vehicle nationwide and while it does sell pretty well in other states, only in Connecticut does the Forester outsell every other car regardless of manufacturer.

3. Florida. The Toyota Corolla is right up there with the Ford S-Series pickup. It has consistently been one of the best-selling cars in America and throughout the world. You might be surprised to learn that only in Florida does the Toyota Corolla outsell every other car.

4. Vermont. It makes sense that in a rugged state like Vermont, pickups would be pretty popular. But what’s surprising is that the best-selling vehicle in Vermont is actually a GMC. The GMC Sierra to be exact.

5. New York and Rhode Island. The Honda CR-V isn’t just the best-selling vehicle in one state, it’s the top selling in two Eastern states. It’s also the second crossover on this list showing how well crossovers are selling in America.

6. Washington, Colorado, and Maine. Notice all three of these states have something in common. The weather is unpredictable and their residents tend to enjoy outdoor activities. As a result, the Subaru Outback is the best-selling vehicle in all three of these states.

7. California. California is easily the most populated state in America so you know the car that takes the prize as the best-selling vehicle in that state has to be doing pretty well. The Honda Accord is the best-selling vehicle in California.

8. Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina. The best-selling sedan in the United States has been the Toyota Camry for several years so it’s not surprising that it is the best-selling vehicle in four different states.

9. Arizona, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Alaska. For whatever reason, the Dodge Ram is especially popular in the West outselling every other car in these five states.

10. Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia, Delaware and New Hampshire. The Chevrolet Silverado is the undisputed champion of the Midwest outselling all other cars in ten states.

11. Texas, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Wyoming, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, North and South Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Utah. Not only is the Ford F-150 the best-selling vehicle in the country, it’s the best-selling vehicle in 16 different states. For an affordable car insurance quote call (888) 290-4130.
