Number of Drops in a season

There have been numerous questions on how many drops we get in a given season. The CCR indicates that we have 10% drops, unless otherwise specified in class rules. CMC rules stipulate 20% of races are dropped. AI rules don't stipulate this, but we've followed the 20% drops since I started back in 2005. So, ASSuming we run a full season (7 events, 4 races per event) = 28 races = 5.6 drops, rounded to 6 races that can be dropped.

HOWEVER.... IF and it's a big "IF" a race weekend or individual race is not run, the number of drops WILL change. So, if we only run 27 of 28 races due to an EVO dumping oil all over the racing surface (ala MSR-C 2008), we would only get 5.4 drops (rounded down to 5)... Not running 1 race CAN have huge impact on what people perceive as a given.
