I was going to but time is getting in the way. FMR
I wouldn't use an AL roller rocker arm in a road-race motor. Steel units from Comp Cams are the way to go.
Look at a set of StopTech's.
Nice new bullet Frank...
Glad to see Mike is getting his car back together.
For ANY road-race motor, with an owner on a budget that can't replace engine hardware yearly.
IMO, AL rockers are not well suited for our usage. I've seen too many AL RR arms fail, and in the cases where I've been able to examine the actual arm, it looked like fatigue.
Mike,
Glad you see yours is going well.
Frank,
Glad you decided not to run R4... ended up being a smart move.
I spent yesterday finishing up the brake lines and getting ballast backing plates installed in the rear passenger seat area so I can hang 90lbs of ballast under each side of the car (if needed). Gotta love 300# ballast rules. :)
Filled the car up with oil, installing new spindles, new front ball joints... Will make more progress Tuesday when I can have another full day down at the shop. Time is ticking and I really want to get to MSR-C next week to test the ABS.
