Damn Cody! That is just a few tenths shy of a lap I did in Misty's camaro on hoosiers many years ago. Good job.

I think it is absolutely awesome how fast the entire region is getting!!
I know a lot of you probably never raced with Jeremiah Kellam back in 2009 / 2010 but he won the TX - CMC Championship and Nationals in 2010. We also have the infamous James Proctor who raced from I think 2007 - around 2013 / 2014 and was blazing fast in his Camaro. Here are their fastest lap times / track records at Hallett from back in the day.
Hallett (1.7)*CCW CMC 1:28.078 James Proctor 06/10/12
Hallett (1.7)*CCW CMC-2 1:28.044 Jeremiah Kellam 06/12/10
At this years Hallett event, these track records would have been broken by Sook, Mosty, Jander, Mozader, Martin, Pranav, Al, and Leinart. 8 drivers in just 1 year!!
If we look at previous years events we can also include Bryan Curtis, Records, Team Jordan, Dave Francis, Dan, Tyler, Craig, and Derek Wright that have all raced below those previous track records.
16 total racers, that is insane!!!!!!!!!!!
Great weekend all. Look for the NASA CMC FBook post tomorrow detailing a recount of the weekend and make sure to like and share!
Pistol plaque is great, Swept the weekend in spec Miata, no pistol plaque, what the hell am I doing?!?!
LoL Cody having a "commanding presence"
during the slip and flip obviously
Congrats Tyler, way cool.
Marshall, I thought Jason had made suspension changes to get to track width?
Oh, and maybe the comments from Michael finally can put to bed the thought that thin to win original RA1s were the bomb. We were just slow.
Your logic on this one completely escapes me. The cars are faster now. I'm guessing some of that is driver/car preparation and some of that is tires. The rest of Michael's statement is much more about the depth of the field. We have way more racers that are capable of running fast times up front than we did in the past. That's great stuff.
The fast guys have always done what they needed to do to finish up front. That includes paying attention to whether they are faster on old or new tires.

So I am hearing Michael and James were the only cheating bastards at first, then me, now everyone is doing it!!!!
I had to deal with a couple of years of dirty looks, glad we can all be friends now :-D
fyi 4th gens have shocks on all 4 corners :-D
So TMS happened. Since we haven't been there before, fastest laps for the weekend got the track record. After a bad Saturday, Josh Sooknanan gathered himself up and won both Sunday CMC races, setting a fast time of 1:33.690 in the process. In AI, Russel Lane posted a fast time of 1:32.887 in the second race Sunday morning.
