Lots of emails/calls, but the car is still available. I forgot to mention earlier I have the factory service manuals that will be included with the sale, and I'll deliver the car within 3 hours of DFW airport for free.
I've turned into one of those "I'm gonna restore it someday" jerks you meet occasionally.
'69 Torino GT Fastback
White with black stripes, black bucket interior, hood scoop
originally a 390 GT 4v (venturi not valves) C-6 auto in a floor console
power steering, factory a/c, power disc brakes
9-inch 3.0:1 open diff.
My dad bought it when it was one year old.
I grew up in and around the car, even "getting" to start it on cold mornings when I was in elementary school.
My dad drove it, my mom drove it, we towed a ski boat with it, my uncle drove, then it got put in a barn for 4 years.
When it was time for me to get a car, that was the car I wanted. The 390 was too tired so we got a beat up '69 Torino Cobra and rebuilt the 428 CJ out of it and it went into our car. It eventually got paint and interior and ended up being a pretty nice car.
Now it is in storage again and has been for way too long.
You asked (well Donovan asked and the rest of you had to suffer through the response).
A high school friend had one of these with a four speed and he won a ton of street races with that car.
