The hardest part is not really hard but connecting to as live breaker box you just have to be very careful. Wire the breaker then snap it in the box.

How big? Stick build?
30x40 all metal but not the super heavy duty I Beam frame. Tubular 14gauge framing. Sounds kinda weak, but certified to 120mph wind. Time will tell how well it holds up.Quote:

It does doesn’t it. The sheet metal is stressed skin that holds it all together just the same as a semi-monocoque aircraft (all sheet metal aircraft). Like I said well see how well it holds up. It def couldn’t handle much abuse.Quote:

Understand the excitement. What size is it and does that price include the concrete?
Construction starts tomorrow. The size is 40wide x 30deep and 12ft walls. Should have a clearance of 13.5ft inside which should allow a lift to lift a 4x4 6ft in the air and have a little room to spare. 3x 10ft rollup doors on the broadside, 1 walk-in door, and two 3ft windows. $13700 includes all of this.Quote:

Also been researching like crazy electrical service installation. Just submitted my dig request to bury the new service line from the house to the shop (80ft run). Initial indications are that there is no obstructions. But gotta wait a couple more days. Then I may rent to ditch witch or try to shovel dig 18” ditch to bury the UF 100amp service cable.
The sub panel and branch circuits seem straight forward and easy. It was how to tie into the 200amp main that confused me a bit. But seems simple now.
Just need to go buy all the stuff and get to work!
Oh yea and also 9 gallons of epoxy for the floor. Good news here is there is very little prep for fresh concrete :)

FYI about the lighting. I ordered 6x 8ft LED tube lights 8500lm 72watts each. Two of the tubes were slightly bent, but worked just fine but when I contacted the seller to inquire if I could get two replacement tubes, they over reacted and offered to send me TWO COMPLETE SIX PACKS!! So, I decided to put in 9 tubes in the shop and 2 in the garage.

I keep my car, trailer, camper in a hangar. While I can't cool the hangar, it does supply electricity to the camper which does have AC so I work, sweat, and eventually cool myself off in there. The fridge keeps water and beer cold too. :cool:
