I've got a T56 boot cut out for a Pro 5.0 shifter and the C/O sleeves if you're still looking.
Built by Mid Coast Performance and they were renting it in the MW and GL. The fabricator who built it (Kurt Borton) is about as much of a weight nazi as I am. Robb Brent and Rusty Ferguson drove it...
Do you have a cover for the cell other then the picture you posted? You need a sealed bulkhead of some sort to seperate it from the driver compartment.
It's an AI car, they love to break stuff.
Wait until you break a 9" center section, alternator fans fly apart then the case cracks in 5 pieces while you're leading, trans cross member bolts fall...
I prefer two halves of a Bud Light box with some axle grease in between. Works good for making sure the tire isn't sticking on scale pads too if you don't have drive on pads. Use the printed side for...
My favorite for a track jack is this: http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/floor-jacks/rapid-pump-2-ton-lightweight-aluminum-racing-jack-68051.html
You have to be weary using it...
So it's CMC legal to weld/bolt a plate on the top for an upper spring perch? You can't see from the pics if they have or not, but I know I had to on my AI car to run 2.5" springs. Also, so it would...
What about the smaller then stock, non-pigtail springs?
Sweet, thanks Glenn.
Well, if we could find someone they could hitch a ride with to Hallett, I'm sure one of the MW CMC crew would bring them back for me.
I know local deals are easier, so if you get an offer, I...
JB, before you pitch them, let me know what you'd want for the spindles shipped to 60491. I need a spare pair and Pick 'n Pull up here is getting ridiculous on their prices.
We used the garage floor epoxy that already had the sand mixed in. Be sure to do it before you get oils on the floor or it may not stick well.
Backspacing is high. 17s are 56mm and 18s are 62mmm IIRC.
I run the adapters in the front and 4th gen width rear end to make it work.
I looked at it as paying for adapters once vs. paying more...
For 17s, buy C5 Z06 Corvette front wheels. 17x9.5 and 19lbs.
For 18s, N73 option Magnesium Corvette rear wheels. $4000 option on '97-'03 Corvettes when new. Cheap when curbed or the paint is...
I was born early Monday morning after Daytona. My dad was hungover/still buzzed on the way to the hospital.
Double check that it's engine oil. Turning a stock 3rd gen PS pump to AI RPMs makes it puke everywhere even with a radiator hose giving it a 8" neck.
Most of it ends up on the driver's side of the...
Check the solenoid to see if the large post is loose. I had a solenoid last year with that issue it still worked, but I think that was part of my intermittent problems. Parts stores wanted an arm and...
Agreed on that one. It's not just you guys down in Texas who are sick of out-of-touch-with-reality politicians.
I think work boots would go over better up here then a pair of shit kickers though. ...
Nope, not really interested either unless you guys get so many cars that you have a cash pay out. I'd have to buy a cool shirt just to think about it.
No issue with shutting it off. It runs...
You wouldn't think so, but it just makes it a little more of a pain. Example, August at Mid-Ohio. They pull the top two to dyno. Alright! Sweet, free dyno time!... well, it's free but you need to...
Looking at the fish bowl from the outside, this is club racing. I like the rules enforced pretty tightly too, but I don't rely on tech to do it regionally. That's why you make friends with your...
It's a lot better then the old alternative which is tear all your shit apart just to find out it's legal then put it back together on your own dime.
Dyno time is cheaper then a pair of head...
Oh come on. There's a bunch of R888s sitting on the shelves and they're good for the first 3 events!...
16 ounces in a pound.
Gas door assembly = 3 lbs
Gas door with 2 small AL brackets = <1lb
"But that's rear weight..."
-Yeah, I'm moving it from the left to right side though...
It's a...
Yikes!
2980 is my post-race weight with 225lb driver, 7-8 gals of fuel, and 55lbs of lead. Should be about 2650 dry on fuel. Only composite is the fiberglass hood. PM me if you need info...
